There never used to be any home fans in that end untill Huddersfield realised that they didn't have any fans behind the goals
(The lower section of the other end was originally left as a "stage area" so no seats were installed. By the time they put seats in the "singing section" (sic) was firmly establishedat the away end of what was then the "Antich" stand. At that point they split the away end and let Town fans in.

Yeah they are a disgrace Gord, its an extremely sad thing to do.
But its like those who go around filming people on the streets and on work sites, and they're just looking for an angry reaction (Charlie Veitch for example).
And they get paid for it, that's what they do for a living!.

I was talking about this with a mate yesterday. I seem to recall that at their old ground there were never many fans behind the opposite goal and they were all in the big stand to the right of the away end. Am I remembering this correctly? I’m going back to the 1980s since I went to Leeds Road.

Edit: In fact, the last time I went to watch us at Leeds Road Banger scored a couple for Huddersfield, I think.

Opposite end was the Cowshed. The police put us in that end for 1979 for some reason.
They seemed to stand more in there when Huddersfield were attacking that goal. Probs a similar exodus that we had with the Brewery Stand.

I suggested something similar years ago, they could have a boxing ring in the centre circle and put the knuckle draggers in there at half time to while away the minutes before the 2nd half kicks off.

The bottles were definitely being thrown both ways. Not sure which side started it.

Just begs the question why do they have them so close to each other? I’ve heard it was at the request of Huddersfield supporters from a few years ago to be in that stand to create ‘atmosphere’ but even their fairer-minded ones must see that the current set-up is ludicrous. Yes folk should behave themselves but fact is some don’t and never will. I read when Stoke played them there was a lot of trouble with fans breaching the fence and stewards line. The ‘concourse’ at the rear is nowhere big enough. At least the Huddersfield fans have a choice about sitting near the annoying drummer, away fans don’t

The way the stand is set up is wholly unfit for purpose in my opinion and having experienced it I wonder if it's for the best that we don't split our away stand - I can only see the same kind of thing happening and we all know that the FA or Football League will be quicker to hand out fines or other punishments to us than they seem to do to other clubs.

I hate it when the cameras zoom in on these split stand arrangements when a goal is scored. Many of the brain cell donors sit closest to the divide just so that they can goad and make puerile gestures to the other side. It’s not an explosion of joy because they’ve scored. It’s infantile behaviour designed to wind up the other team’s supporters. It’s not a new thing and it will always be there because of the kind of people who choose to sit there. If I were at an away game I’d be as far away from the home “fans” as possible.

May even have been the season they went up mate? We lost 2-1 there early season and I’m sure it was split then. I think they’d started with the cheap STs and packed the ground

From what I saw inside the ground. At the end of the game was 6 of 1. Half dozen of the other. Objects being thrown and thrown back. Outside saw nowt tbh and we had a bit of a walk back to a mini bus. But those that went on our coach at the ground didnt mention owt outside of the usual goading when parked there.

I genuinely feel sorry for her, she’ll have been getting hammered from their fans all game and she’s reacted in the end and she’s the one who’s getting no end of personal insults thrown at her all over social media.

if someone behaved the way their fans were behaving towards her in the street they’d get a fist in their gob. I don’t see any issue at all.
