To be clear. You said 3 weeks. I said 3 months. We are trying to recruit into areas we have known for months that we need filling.

That said there are still loads of reasons as to why there could be such a timescale that doesn’t just question either the players commitment or motives for joining.

That's a scandalous anti-Bbs accusation there lol, but it did make me laugh.

 

Not disputing that they chose other clubs but they were targets of ours, so yes we did miss out, so to state we didn't was unnecessary.
I'm realistic to know we can't compete on wages with lots of clubs and not get flustered about things, we will sign players that fit the model and budget and that's fine by me.
Just don't get the big deal stating we haven't missed out on signings, what's to prove?

 

I haven't said we haven't missed out on targets .I've said the players signed were approached in May and other targets decided to go to Championship teams.Nothing more and nothing less.
Nothing to prove at all mate just a fan like most on here.

You're gaslighting people and it's not OK. You know that we've missed out on targets, you've admitted it, but this is the second thread you've started this week that claims we haven't missed out on targets. You're not mistaken, you're lying, because you know that's not true. And you're attempting to belittle people who are factually correct when they say we've missed out on targets.

I know we've missed out on targets, as do you, as does our manager who has been very honest about this. I don't think that's a big deal, it happens to all clubs. I find people complaining about this a bit tiresome, but at least it's honest and it's just an opinion. Where as you are gas lighting, and that's a bit frightening if I'm honest. I'm genuinely perturbed about someone on this forum acting like this. It scares me about what else you do.

 

Hardly surprising they would not be rushed into a decision either tbf. Players will undoubtedly. Be contacted by other clubs showing an interest. Holidays. End of contracts will have had a bearing as well. Take Connor and Marc for prime examples. Said once we were interested. It was a no brainer for either of em. Others may have been/be in the 1st category. Players can be approached 6 months prior to end of a contract I believe, without permission. Unless I've misread.

Yep, I'd agree that us along with other clubs contacted lots of players in May and a lot of which won't have been signed (for whatever reason), seems like yet another BM thread to try and stir fans up.
