He was my first choice. Haven't a clue who I want now.

The Seriously Degenerative Medical Condition Football Managers Association is just around the corner. Some will say it is divisive.

He was my first choice and I would've won a bit of money from him too.

Now my first choice would be Terry Butcher but I've bet on Megson, who I think will be the one we go for next. Both would be decent choices.

The only one I'd be really unhappy with is Blackwell. Don't want him anywhere near Oakwell post-Morgan/Hume.

    I did

I believe he would've been the best man for the job.

    I voted for Owen Coyle

But would have had O'Driscol down as 2nd or maybe 3rd choice after Billy Davis.

O'Driscoll good manager... but... as a long term option... not the kind of manager who would have an instant impact... are we patient enough to accept relegation and still warm to him? Perhaps Sean had that very though on his mind...

We are big favourites now for the drop but we are NOT down yet!... other managers in the frame Terry Butcher, Gary Megson, Paul Ince all influential characters... who could inspire players, rally war cry and have instant impact! Look at influence Robins had when he arrived. First job shore up the defence, by adding quality and influential players e.g. Carl Dickinson and Ryan Shotton...

According to reports new man may have money to spend... £300k from Davies deal, Wisemen fee (£50k?) and £1m+ for young Stones... If suitors are interested I would look offload Done, McNulty, Edwards, Kennedy and Etuhu... Get rid of the quantity (trim the squad) and bring in some quality!

A few loan players e.g. premiership/championship fringe players and young prospects plenty out there... just look at the impact Tudgay had. Gonna be an interesting few weeks ahead!

I would guess most of the Davies and Wiseman money will be to balance the books, unfortunately.

The Barnsley job hasn't half brought them creeping out of the woodwork ...Carlton Palmer, being one of the most of ridiculous. One that has done very well in his short spell is Brown
ex Hull City who has had teams promoted while in charge. (so has Danny Wilson)

Compared to some we've appointed over the years, he would have been a strong appointment. Plus he would have known exactly what he was letting himself in for.

He would have done for me, but Butcher would be fine with me also.

    Me.

I want a manager with proper championship experience. Sod ticked all the boxes. My next choice would be Megson with Moore. Then Blackwell. The latter both on six month contracts and bin them off once sod sorted compensation with Nffc which is clearly why he turned us down. Fourth choice coyle.

Butcher is a huge gamble and one which I think is highly likely to send us down but will give him 100 percent of my support once in place. Having said that I wanted spackman, phart and for what is worth, I would have kept hill until next season.
