    That is a nice spot.

One of the flash jewellers in Yarm got hit last week. Old fashioned balaclava, tooled up smash and grab blagging. Tea time!

Not familiar with the term. Irritating posh folk?

The landlord is German and revels in slagging off his staff in his mother tongue, thinking that they and his customers can't understand him.

It's a top place though - I did the Cleveland Way Walk last summer and they picked me up from the nearest road and dropped me off the next day, about 5 miles. Good quality food and clean and tidy rooms, would recommend it for a weekend in the North York Moors.

A couple of good pubs in Osmotherley too. And try the Lion Inn on Blakey Ridge.

Yackers are farming types. Maybe not strictly applying to Yarm cos it's actually a North Yorkshire word.

Golden Lion in Osmotherley is a good pub but not keen on the Queen Catherine or the Three Tuns.

    Yeah, seen/heard plenty of those.

Re boozers was delighted to stumble upon a Sam Smiths house - The Jubilee just on the garage roundabout -within 5 mins of our house. £1.80 a pint!

Stayed in the Golden Lion last summer with my missus, good but very expensive. We were lucky as while we were there there was a power cut which stopped the tills working. This didn't seem to bother the staff who kept opening wine bottles, but on paying the bill this seemed to have been forgotten.

Stopped at the Queen Catherine while on the Cleveland Way. For sale and it showed, but was (relatively) cheap, which for a one-night piss-up was the way forward.

Called in the Three Tuns and decided after about 50ms that my muddy boots and sweaty armpits didn't fit in. Nice waitress though.........

Tha'll be able to snort it.

It was a cracking club. My mate literally bumped into Shearer there one night, I just remember seeing him being carried out horizontally by the bouncers, using his head to open the doors. My mate that is, not Shearer.

I'm pretty sure I'm right in saying this, but I seem to recall Clyne making his debut for Palace against us live on Sky at their place. Was man of the match too, a cracking debut in a comfortable win for them (5-0 maybe?).

Berahino is the top scoring 'Englishman' in the Premier League too and rightfully called up.
