Just clarity on what they are planning to do. Many clubs have built new grounds and with community engagement taken the fans with them. West Ham are a great example. Many were completely opposed but now attendances have increased.

I want them to us the truth. Deep down inside, we all know it but perhaps don't want to face it. WE CAN'T AFFORD TO RUN A CLUB THAT PLAYS IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP. Phew, that feels better!!

Isn't this basically because they started winning? They were furious about the move and wanted the owners out during the first two seasons there.

It's a good example of how results on the pitch can smooth over any difficult decisions or plans at board level.

Every thing needs to be geared towards putting out the most competitive team we can within our means. Just like the rest of our history.

I agree with you on clarity pal. If they do go down that route though then my 40 odd years of following them will immediately finish.

I think the club is always open to offers ,even under Patrick it was always up for sale to the right people .
I’m not sure these owners were the right people but they were his best option maybe even the only option under the circumstances .
I can’t fathom why people keep calling for these to go or sell up when there quite clearly aren’t any feasible alternatives .
That’s not to say we shouldn’t keep questioning decisions , methods and financial activities etc but to spew hatred as some have done with no possible alternatives is in no way constructive or in my view the route we should be going .

    Full transparancy on major issues.
Id also like a clear explanation on the disastrous summer, where we had un fit un motivated players, playing for a manager/coach who fell outside the pressing remit. and what the hell happened to all the staff (non playing) and why they were allowed to leave without suitable and immediate replacements.

To pay anything associated with purchasing the club themselves, no ifs, buts or clauses.

To assemble a squad with the primary purpose of winning football matches rather than player resale. I don't want them to dip in their own pocket for this, I don't want us to go over budget, I'm aware we will still have to sell players, but we should be signing some players because of what they may add to the team now, not because of what they could potentially add in two years.

Sorry I never took them for serious from day one ,
I never got past their headline consortium name .
Ok as a protest/ pressure group I suppose but not one I’d assign to personally but I respect their right to do so .

My thoughts exactly TT...I get that others may like moving to a shiny new ground, but don't let's get carried away that new stadiums win football matches or fill themselves, only competitive football does that. As for me, leave Oakwell and after 50 odd years I've done for good...I've never thought about stopping, but actually I'm only 15 mins from Rotherham and to be honest the way they are run impresses me more than the bulls**t theories of Conway & Co, switching away from a winning formula purely to get a few more quid for our decent players in our biannual player sale.
A couple of ideas for Conway & Co though....they could start a voucher scheme with the other 91 clubs....10% off a Barnsley player on presentation of this voucher...what about the old Bogof scheme, buy one decent player and get a promising youngster free.

They did a lot of community engagement work. A mate of mine was involved in it. Loads of community outreach. Lots of free/reduced price ticketing that was eventually phased out. And the results helped.

Many other examples though locally Hull and Rotherham being two. Hull have been my second team since I went to uni there and although the relationship with the owners soured they did a lot of good work with the community around the move.

I know that moves lose some fans. I am probably one of them (though think I’m done after this season until the 80% do one) but you work as hard as possible to get as many as possible on board and then improved facilities and match day experience should cover the stay always.

Well firstly if you read my comment again I would like you to point out where I have spewed any hatred out & secondly I would be amazed if this group with all their business experience & contacts did not have an avenue for moving a business on should they so wish to do so , I remember Mike Ashley publicly stating that he was willing to sell his club if a suitable buyer came forward but so far I have not read or heard of our owners make similar statements & on the surface it appears they are quite content in running this club into the ground..

Agree with you on all points and as an observation on point 4 we should be looking at players that fits the business plan AND the needs of BFC .
The PMG are looking imo at a business plan that only fits their criteria and the football part of it looks as though it’s secondary .
Until they realise this or acknowledge and address it the conflict from fans and the football itself regards BFC will carry on being unstable .

I'd steal Jay's post for point four.

'To assemble a squad with the primary purpose of winning football matches rather than player resale.
