and here we go again building a player up just so we can slaughter him when he buggers off in january
Good Lord. The most amazing player we've had for years, not the best we've ever had, but a damn good 'un, capable of doing stuff that you normally only see done by a Brazilian with a name like Zico and you're still complaining. Players like him tend to come around about once a decade on average. We've had Ronnie Glavin, David Currie, Craig Hignett and Martin Bullock, on his day, who could just ghost around the opposition. Enjoy it while it lasts, because you're not going to see anything else like it for a long time. If he misplaces a pass or doesn't track back it doesn't matter a jot, because you'll still remember that goal he scored today in 50 years time.
He has got sublime ability, but questionable fitness. I am just gonna enjoy watching him while he is here. Was well pissed off today when he went off. He will give you moments of magic.
Re: I love that Youtube clip Love him! Although i think he would be best used behind the strikers, definitely not a winger! Especially with our full backs.
Re: I love that Youtube clip He can play where he wants for me. I'd even be prepared to buy him a drink in the pub, that's how much I like our Paddy!
Absolute superb display of dribbling ability and ball control. And the finish was not bad either. Had that been Wayne Rooney you'd never hear the end of it. http://youtu.be/anpRVdblfvo
I said to the guy next to me "oh oh, looks like the other Paddy McCourts turned up today...." 5 minutes later WHAM!!!!
Re: I love that Youtube clip Agree entirely. Said to my brother, what's the point in bringing David Fox in, who by his own admission, is tasked with getting the ball to Paddy as soon as possible, and then sticking McCourt out on the wing. Id have him playing just in front of Fox and either Mellis or Etuhu.
