To be fair to Wilson he gave Paddy chance after chance....as soon as we conceded the 4th, he fetched him straight on.
Wilson preferred Brek Shea to Paddy. Much less skill and even less of a work rate. Never mind Onwards and Upwards. Oops I forgot we seem to be floundering somewhat. All will be ok when we pummel Swindon on Saturday, then we can visit Rochdale for the clash of the Titans. Hill v Wilson Riveting stuff.
getting an occasional performance when he 'feels like it ' has never been a problem it was getting them consistently, and then again it wasn't just our managers, it's every manager he's played under. And lets be honest if he 'played' most weeks he wouldn't have been with us or Brighton anyway!
As I suggested to one of your brethren on Saturday, find summat else to do that gives you more pleasure than Football.
Currently in New York. Very pleasurable but it won't tickle everyone's fancy. Doesn't stop me voicing my opinions as is my right. You keep sticking up for our inadequacies as is your right. At the end of the day you and I don't run the club.
I don't stick up for inadequacies, I stick up for the principle of affording a manager whose previous record indicates a level of competency above his recent predecessors more than 8 games with a new side and adequate time to turn around the mentality of a club where just enough has been good enough for the last 10 years.
"a level of competency above" The guys record is distinctly average at best but I agree about the 8 games bit. 25 games is a fairer time frame IMO No improvement after then, same crap as now, and it will be Adios Wilson. The good folk of Barnsley do have limitations about how much money it costs to watch their team. Product poor = Season ticket renewals plummeting like a stone. Then again we can revert to the early bird if all else fails. Catches the Worm and all that.
He played well by all accounts against Burton Albion last night - it must have taken him back to his Scottish Premier League days.
