    Have to be honest I can't stand Mick McCarthy, he's a self confessed Leeds fan, hardly did anything for us in the time he played, he's shafted us in the transfer market when he's seen the opportunity and would do again, dont see why people see him as a Barnsley legend, he just isn't.

    You'd be pretty incorrect there redrum. 600,000 people live in Luxembourg, double Iceland who have qualified for tournaments recently. They're no San Marino or Gibralter. Ireland have our weakest squad in modern memory - Conor is not the answer, he has never showed anything in a green shirt and hides when we're in possession. The opposite of the player we all love in a red shirt.

    You might be able to find 11 mates who'd beat Ireland however...

    I agree. He played with us for ages and all he did was prevent the other teams from scoring against us. He's a confessed lover of his home town Barnsley. He shafted us by giving us K. Moore. He always speaks well of us.

    He should be hung from outside the Town Hall.

    Too young to remember him as a player but he loves the club. Yes he grew up a fan of Leeds but also grew up a fan of Barnsley too. He used to go & watch both teams play.

    How’s he shafted us in the transfer market? From my memory the only player of ours he’s signed was Hammill who had a release clause & was one of the most in demand players in the league at the time. It’s not like he would’ve stayed with us if it wasn’t for Mick.

    Ireland’s pool of players are terrible. Certainly the worst in my lifetime. They’re a long way off Wales & Scotland never mind doing anything at a major tournament.

    Having said that losing to Luxembourg is a dreadful result. It would be for Finland, Iceland & countries like that who probably have a similar talent pool to Ireland.

    An absolute embarrassment of a national team. Not sure I'd recognise 90% of their squad if they walked past me in full kit in the street (Hourihane aside obviously)
