so u agree then with ST holders getting tickets from east stand and thus meaning nobody will be sat in their normal seat, thus losing the club revenue.

If I go tomorrow after work and the queues at ticket office are huge then I'll do the same and the club will only have themselves to blame for potential lost revenue, it is their ridiculous policy thats done it by having the ticket office closed for 2 days.

RE: What about people that can't just take a day off work with no notice?

are you telling me people do not have a lunch break on a wednesday or a thursday where they could go and get tickets

yeah but i think that queues are more than 15 minutes long

which, funnily enough, is why people are going and getting a random seat.

it is the clubs fault for putting no thought into the matter, not the fault of the fans for doing whatever they can to get a seat

there will not be massive queues tomorrow. the only reason there have been long queues today is that some season ticket holders wanted away tickets and given the limited number available had to queue today in order to get them. if u just want your seat at home after today, when all away tickets have gone u will have no problem

I might just about manage to make it from Halifax and back in my lunch break.....probably have to set straight off back though without getting out of the car!

    how do you know that?

there are still 6 thousand season ticket holders to serve in 3 days.

well judging by the fact that there were potentially 11k that could be sold on the east stand people have been getting them in 5 mins, and they have said they have sold loads of tickets today. i really dont think u will have a problem tomorrow, nothing like today anyway

erm yeah but its not the east stand is it

season ticket holders have to go to the box office.

a minimum of 6000 season ticket holders (plus half season ticket holders dont forget) to buy tickets in three days. it takes longer to serve us because the tickets arent printed and the computer needs to be used.

with todays massive queues the box office still hasnt sold 4000 tickets. less than 3000 by all accounts. so yeah, i expect queues tomorrow and thursday too.

    you're missing the point

the club have come up with such a crap system that some fans have got no other choice than to go to the turnstyles and buy an alternative seat. that is the fault of the club, not the fault of the fans for having jobs etc.

And btw i'll be getting my usual season ticket seat.

    RE: you're missing the point

glad to here that. obviously there are exceptions but on the whole by the system being as it is season ticket holders have been given every opportunity to obtain their seats. I dare say the club couldnt win because if they sold to season ticket holders only for the 1st 2 days, and then went on general sale, those season ticket holders that didnt get down in time (because this is obviously a real problem) would lose their seat and moan that a glory hunter has taken their place. Main objection is to those that went down today and didnt want to queue but instead of waiting or coming another time bought another seat, rendering theirs obsolete

i agree with your point, but again i think that is the club's fault

they could have and should have put a procedure in place where people changing to a 'random' seat could notify the club that they don't want to use their normal seat. And again, special match vouchers could have been used for this. ie, you hand in special match voucher A to the turnstyle operator which gives up your right to your seat. the club can then resell these tickets.

The fault lies squarely at the feet of the club, not the fans
