i worked on construction and worked for a company for over 15 years on and off. more on than off.

i was on cis4 which what ever i earned 20 % is taken off for tax,but i payed my own ni stamp.

your classed as self employed for tax purposes but actully your employed, just not allowed to get redundancy,or holiday pay,as your wage is slightly higher than someone on the books to compensate.

You should definitely have a go, nothing ventured nothing gained but like Eaststander says do it yourself. Have a look on this website and you'll find template letters and advice http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance

    Good luck.

tar ive just printed out the forms from the financial ombudsmen website,so i will give it go, im just worried if they paid me out they might then try to chase me fo the 8k shortfall when they sold the property.

at the time i had put the house up for sale as i knew my situation was going to last a while.

    Banks really are scum

Earlier this year I had a small cash flow problem and asked for a 1 month mortgage holiday and they turned me down. This was despite the fact that I've never been in arrears (over 20 years) and a couple of years ago there was a mix-up over direct debits when I changed my current account and ended up paying them twice one month - which they were unable to refund apparently.

    Total a-holes.

Brush... Direct debit guarantee covers **** like that..

Red army .... They can chase all they want but they'll not be able to do a lot given your out of uk boarders. Only thing is mortgage debt isn't governed by normal limitations. It doesn't become unenforceable for 12 years
