I'll go one stage further

If it's true, I think our interest in him is utterly bizarre.

    When things like this happen....

...I've come to expect there's something we're missing that'll come out later but I'm struggling to imagine what it could possibly be.

    Typical of you

Not considering all the variables. Clearly on the face of it this doesn't look shrewd. But, I know he's a good player and Davey obviously hasn't picked his name out of a hat. Something has been stopping him this season, he's practically a hero at Blackpool and yet he couldn't get on the bench.

I am presuming whatever was up with him is not a long term problem or is already in the past. Like that issue with his mum that was posted.

You're having a go at the lad before he's even signed. And THAT is equally typical of this board.

Goalscoring record marginally better the KO's. Nowhere near as good as Mostto's.

We'll see. Hope we still are looking at Macken

    woooosssshhhhh!!!!!!!!!!

I wasn't having a go at him. I was just saying we need a wait and see attitude, rather than this whole attitude of he is the saviour better than anything we have. I hope he bangs them in for us

The last player I said was over rated by our fans on signing, you particularly, was Kozluk. Think I have been proved correct there

Not The Signing I Was Expecting

One goal every four games and can't get a regular game for a newly promoted club. Says it all that we are the only championship club linked to him. Surprised we are signing someone British as well. So his debut will be against the club he came from on saturday?

    Where's It Say That?

We let Mcindoe play against us and so I don't see why he won't be making his debut on saturday.

    RE: Where's It Say That?

If the move goes through before the weekend, Parker will not get an early opportunity to face his former employees. He will be barred from playing in the FA Cup third round game between Barnsley and the Seasiders on Saturday

    I've always been impressed

Always seemed to cause a nuisance of himself and has scored goals in the past. But why hasn't he scored this season?

23 games, that's almost as high as the amount of hours he's played

So far this season he's clocked up 23 hours and 17 minutes on the pitch (not including time added on at the end of games). With the time added on I don't think it's unreasonable to say that he's been on the pitch for over a full day without putting the round thing into the big rectangle area at the end of the pitch even once.

    Parker: 24 hours; 0 goals
    Christensen: 3 hours; 1 goal

Didn't realise you were such an authority

I'm simply putting my faith in Davey. To be fair, this deal looks so daft he must have looked into it deeply, its clearly been planned for sometime.

I am sure he won't want another impotent striker after signing 3 already. Have some faith.

And for the record I still think Kozluk was a good signing. Summat is up there, injurys etc thats kept him out. He's not the only one, look at Van Homo. Only played a handful of games and didn't get the shirt on till Sheff U. He looks handy.

Still I think we'll see Koz end up back with Colin at Palace, so he must know summat you don't.

    Being Signed To Replace Macken?

With signing another striker, it does seem like Davey doesn't believe that he's coming back. That is unless one of the others is on the way out.

Why hasnt he scored them this season? Better league that he can't handle (Odejayi?) possibly?

Actually, having checked, Brian howard has scored more goals in the league from midfield this season in the championship than Parker has from up front in League 1 by this time last year, and that was his best ever season.

    thats an interesting thought

If one of our strikers, Stan say, took our penalties and had scored 6 and was just off double figures for the season would we think differently of him and our strikers in general
