My understanding is that he was with the u21s and is now training with the full squad. Wonder if he'll travel to Switzerland?
not sure there's too much in it tbh. a few people dropped out of training, so they needed a few to fill in. obviously felt it would just be a good experience to throw some of the U21s in
Digby's in the u19's. How it works is all the England teams that have home games are based at St. George's Park in the build up to the game. A benefit of this is that if there are players injured in the England set up then they can drag players up from the u21's, u19's etc. There's a few injury doubts in the England squad so they've dragged in lads from the lower age groups to make the numbers up in training. Because the u21's are away in Lithuania they go to a lower age group & that's why Digby's got the call to train with the national side.
Digby needs a loan move as I think he'll struggle to shift the regular midfielders, even Abbott (who to me has come from nowhere) is in front of him. Training with the full England squad can't do his stock any harm so surely there should be a few clubs at the bottom end of League One who might fancy having him for a few months.
He only needs a run in our team and we'll all see how good a talent he is. He doesn't seem to stay injury free for long enough though and at the minute he's rightfully behind Abbot who hasn't put a foot wrong since being given his chance.
i thought he looked class when he first broke into the team. then again, might have just been a case of how gash everyone around him was. then he picked up his niggles and things seem to have just passed him by. i'm still confident he'll make it.
