So you would scarifice Shuker for Hayes on the wing ? The only reason Hayes went there was to help cover the fullback.

I wish people would come on this board and talk some fooking sense , are all bbs silly teenagers, makes you wonder on the evidence that this is not so. Paul Hayes, is only 22, for a 22year old he has'nt done that bad since he arrived from Scnuthorpe. In fact he has done remarkably well comming out of the 2nd division into the lions den at Oakwell. He as been the most consistent player we have had this season, he as made more goals for the team, he looks class, he is class, and for a young gifted player like he is he is only going to get better. Chopra is going to Cardiff, Hayes is going to stay with us, end of comment!!!

People know my views, but watch him against Preston in cup...

A championship side who gave him room, and watched him put a chance on a plate for the onrushing Burns.

He could play in either position, but his finish against Swansea wasn't the finish of a man who "couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo".

Incidentally, in the 20 minutes he played upfront in extra time, despite having already played 100 minutes, he worked his B*ll*cks off and was excellent.

    Hayes can't cross a ball?

Watch some of our goals this season.

    Devaney at Oakwell vs Tranmere

    Burns at Deepdale vs Preston

Richards miss at Galpharm vs Huddersfield (league)

Then come back and say it again.

Looks like opinion is split on this one.

I like Hayes. Think he is a good player. However Im afraid he is not a championship winger. Plus why is it if an opinion is posted on here that differs from that of some of the old boys they say silly teenages etc etc. Im 27 FFS and its an opinion from watching Hayes alot.

Only in all competitions. If we're talking about the league, I think you mean Marc Richards. :)

RE: Looks like opinion is split on this one.

Hayes is a striker and has had a decent first season at Oakwell as one. He was then asked to cover the wing while shukur was playing with an injury and didnt look the same player. He did this job comfortably yet still gets negative comments. The fact is he will be a good striker for us next season and gives us cover on the wing. Why do we feel the need to put down our talented young players, they should be being encouraged as they are, after all, still learning.
