Can't agree with that.
Cryne has been extraordinarily altruistic even before he was officially involved. I know so called fans with plenty of wonga who wouldn't part with a penny in BFC's direction without the promise of equal return.

I don't think PC deserves criticism yet.
But I think if Davey is still in place next season the time may have come to start asking a few questions about his intentions for the club.
Hopefully it won't come to that.

ayup
Get darn to Plymouth. True believers next week...

Christ we could be in the bottom three on Monday..... but I don't think so.... If Reading beat Norwich, then we can survive with a draw next week..... that's the most likely outcome, for mine....

but apart from writing off debt, investing his own money, and sacrificing a lot of his time, and losing sleep with worry, and constantly juggling the books to keep us a float.... what else as PC done for us? - sounds a bit like a Monty Python "what have the Romans ever done for us' sketch.
RE: why? Ok i am confused and have been everytime someone says he saved the club. How exactly did he do that? Now i might be wrong but wasn't it Peter Doyle that bought the club and brought us out of admin? Cryne had the same chance and chose not to actually be the saviour, yes he has put money into the club and managed to gain us a stable financal position but surely it was Doyle who saved us? If i am wrong i will gladly hold my hands up can someone please explain the situation to me.
RE: why? I think you may have over-simplified the Peter Doyle era there. Many people still question why The Administrator allowed him to but the club. Didn't he borrow money from the Sterling Consortium? I recall reading comments from the club a couple of years after Peter Doyle left, that they were still finding 'little surprises' left from the previous legacy.
You really do like to point others mistakes don't you? You must be perfect? The fact is Patrick Cryne does not want to be in the position he is in. There are plenty of other fans with money but as has been pointed out they are not forthcoming "investing" in the football club. He does not get involved in the club on a day to day basis because he is a private man and does not want to be in the spotlite. He delegated this responsibliity previously to Gordon Shepherd and now Don Rowing. Patrick has said in the past that Gordon was quite prepared to "take some pain" for his love of the club. Patrick on the other hand isn't prepared to do that so keeps his distance. It's a strange situation but this is where we are.
RE: why? We were still in administration when Mr Doyle had the club. The FA would not sanction his buy out due to not meeting a number of criteria. It wasn't until Patrick Cryne bought the club and installed Peter Ridsdale as chairman that the club exited administration and was given the golden share.
RE: 30+ acres is what he got back They didn't get any rent from the club for a few years and maybe this year is the first year the club has paid rent. OCA Ltd appled for planning pemission but according to our Chairman and OCA director at the time this was to increase the value of the holding company. If you are hinting that Mr Cryne has gone into this as some kind of money making scheme you must be out of your mind. He's put millions of pounds into the football club that he won't see again.
Ii think you are wrong One thing I would say is that it must be hard looking from the owner's/managements point of view. Everytime we have had a bad run he seems to have had the knack of creating a bit of optimism for a couple of games. Rumour has it that he had to win against Donny at home and had told the players the week before that if he didn't he was for the chop. Look what happened there.
