DELIGHTED to see the fall from grace for Barney continue. He was such a sore loser in defeat as well, messing with his darts keeping his opponent waiting for a well done, before giving the tamest congratulations ever. Watch the PDC be weak and offer him a premier league wildcard he doesn't deserve. They would be scared of hurting his feels.

 

I think its time for a shake up in the Premier league anyway, First to 6 no draw like the pro tour, 10 players 5 games each week
top 2 get a bye in to semis, players finishing 3rd 4th 5th & 6th ply off the 2 winners playing the 1st and 2nd then you get 5 games on finals night too, also the bottom two are banded for the following year, this could stop a lot of the dead rubber games towards the end,

 

Sounds good. It was ok when it was top 6 and two WCs. Wasn't as good last year with top 4 and four WCs. Top four is.......

1) Phil Taylor.

2) Adrian Lewis.

3) James Wade.

4) Simon Whitlock.

Barney doesn't deserve a WC but the PDC will pander to him. Wes Newton probably deserves one but is boring as **** to watch. Mervyn King should be put back in. Unlucky to miss out last year despite a year where he lost his father. He's starting to find his form of old again. The other place is open for many guys to take.

 

I just hope they don't put Nicholson in, average player trying to make a name for himself.

 

Aye a modern day Alex Roy trying to make a name for himself by being gobby, with darts that don't back up his words.

 

Agreed, only reason he's doing it is to make a name for himself. Should concentrate on his darts first. Hopefully someone like Painter or Newton will get in ahead of him.

 

To be honest i know a lot call the BDO but i think the BDO world Champion should be offered a 2 year PDC tour card and a Premier league wildcard every year

 

Anderson was one lucky bar steward earlier. No easy matches anymore even for the best players. Hopefully Joe Cullen can cause and upset now

 

Aye was a cracking game that. This first round has been terrific so far, hope the rest of the tournament carries on in a similar vain.

 

You don't get a couple of rounds of easy matches anymore which is great for the sport. I've a feeling Ted Hankey might jump ship as a premier league wildcard once he's got Lakeside out of the way.

 

Agreed, been very suprised at how good the qualifiers have been. Shame a couple of them bottled it on the last double but you can hardly blame them.

 

To be honest i don't think any player is a given for a pdc tour card he would have to earn one of them first in the Q School at the metrodome to be allowed in the pdc then Bazza could give him the wildcard

 

I doubt Hankey would quit the BDO to join a Q school when other former BDO who aren't as good as him never had to.

 

rules are rules they can't bring them in one year then bend them the year after henderson and chiznel had to win there cards last year

 

Just put £100 on Scott Rand to win the first game tonight, to get my money back
