We can't be talking about the same player I saw last season. I saw a player with an old head on young shoulders, who read the game very well, had a good engine and never shirked a challenge. If we get him back for the season it will be the best business of the summer.

Does anyone know why Rothwell didnt stay till the end of the season at Blackpool? He was supposedly threr from January 27th till end of season, but only played 3 matches and the last one was 24th Feb ?

Well I saw that Ben Pearson too. A little bit raw at times but more than capable of doing the business in this league and above. Will be a good signing.

If he was good even to be playing regularly in the Championship I doubt he'd be signing a six-month loan deal here mate.

The match report from Saturday's friendly described him as "the diminutive winger"

I cant see Pearson EVER being anything more than a decent yet unspectacular league one player. Seems to be of the opinion he's Man Utds future though which is nearly as comical as Amir Khans beliefs he's up there with Ali.

Pearson must split opinion more than any Barnsley player for years

That would be the same management team who said we need 7 or 8 good quality players.

Couldn't get in ahead of Perkins.

Here's an article on him: http://mufclatest.com/rise-to-fame-joe-rothwell-2/

If it was Pearson on a permanent signing rather than a loan everyone would be raving about how good a signing it was
