I wouldn't bat an eyelid if they went the same way as Portsmouth tbh. Another small club overspending to reach the promised land without considering the consequences.

Just goes to show they've got more money than sense. I wouldn't have him on a free.

Seems a strange one to me. He's hardly impressed me to be honest. Decent at best. But I'm quite surprised that a Premier League club are in for him, especially a club with so many quality midfielders.

    But I'm not a coach/scout/manager. They must see summat I can't.

As someone has already remarked though, perhaps in a better side with better players he'd thrive?

But aye, I'm not arsed if he goes in January. I am though arsed about us loaning kids. I always have been. Because you're building sides on quicksand. Would rather us have given Digby or Abbott the 50 games we've given Pearson.

When it's ought to do with BFC in its current mess nothing at all to cheer about.

You could say same about any of our players. Just seems strange to me why a premiership team would folk out 1 million for a midfielder who has played almost every game for a club in the bottom 4 of league one. He has hardly impressed many supporters so god knows what the scouts have seen. The player I'd expect a bigger club to take a punt on would be Connor hourhine but even then not premiership.

Bizarre. £1m+ for a bang average league one player is just crazy.

I think it's good news. Hopefully it'll mean Scowen goes into the holding role which is where he played for Wycombe

Not ready yet. But I'm sure he'll be a regular for them in a couple of seasons.

Despite what many have said. He's a very good player who's still learning his trade.

Nowhere near as many as the 5 players behind him. 6 if you include Townsend too.

Its strange how people see things, I personally think both of them can offer more further forward.

In the old days he would have cost about 100k. He's ok no more or less.

I bet he's notnfar off. You're only thinking about the **** ups that have led tona goal. If you include all the times hesncompletely failed to do his job leading to an extra man hanging around the edge of our box completey unmarked which in turn has led to a goal either by said man scoring or by the defence being pulled all over to accommodate for the extra man then it is a lot of goals
