I'd say it's unlikely he thought he'd be chucking goals in since he failed to do so in the Danish league last season which is probably of a lower standard. I just think it's easy to forget that when he came to us he'd started less than 50 games in professional football. He's still learning his trade. We should have known that when we signed him.
Injury whilst on full International duty put the brakes on his progress at BFC, as at the time, he was paying very well. He will be a good un and score a lot of goals......but as I've said before, have BFC got enough time to persist with him? Leave it with DW......he knows best!
Nothings gone wrong with the lad.............because there was niver owt reight to start with..............and I have said this from the start (which I got slated for at the time) Basically he has found that he cannot hack it in the Championship....The style of play is much too quick for him During games he has played I've seen chances made and passes into empty spaces for him to run onto and Pedersen has just been stood there flat footed. We need to off load him quickly and with the money saved then use it to bring someone in that's effective..........Barnsley cannot afford to wait to see if Pedersen will come good
He played well against an England under 21's side featuring Craig Dawson (Flicker's hero and ex Rochdale world beater). Give the guy a chance.
8 starts 2 goals and 2 penalties won through his movement in the box. Is that not successfully or did we think we'd signed Messi...
Dagnall - 5 starts, 1 goal and 1 assist. He's never fit, Pedersen. Always limps out of training. Soft as **** by the sounds of it.
I just think we have unrealistic expectation of a guy with an average goalscoring pedigree who had started less than 50 games when he signed. Unlike Daggers whose 1 goal in 6 games is pretty much a career stat. The level that Dagnall is playing at mow is where he is comfortable and affective his efforts can be applauded and he would certainly get a good round of applause from me. But we needed to progress. Thus far Pedersen us not particularly demonstrating anything other than being a young guy learning the game which is not really what we need.
Aye. But as Danny says, if he gets up to speed and stays fit, he'll play a part. He could turn out to be our hero. Such is football and it's funny nature.
Definitely think his attitude has been poor. Did anybody see at half time vs. Derby? All of our subs going through usual warm up routine - apart from Pedersen who barely joined in and spent most of it standing on halfway line by himself and shouting over (I think) toward some of Derby players/coaching staff. Don't think I've seen a player just not look bothered at all like that before. Thought early signs from him were promising but to be honest on recent showings I think we should be looking to get rid if possible.
Hand on heart, he's never looked like a goalscorer to me, yes he runs around alot, yes he's agressive, but he just doesn't get in the game enough, at least O'Grady shows for the ball and can run with it at his feet, Pederson doesn't look like he could trap a dead rat.
Pedersen strikes me as someone pretending to be a modern day footballer... drenched in ink, hot girlfriend, cashmere knits etc I'm still waiting for him to be the secret millionaire
I've still not seen enough of him to judge him. If he really has no bottle & he feign's injury over next to nothing then it's best to try & get rid. The only 2 games I've seen him get any decent service in were Huddersfield & Wednesday & he scored in both. A lot of his starts came when we had Dawson & Mellis on the wings & were creating nothing so I wouldn't be quick to write him off.
