Most of the above. First stood in there in 1956. Brief spells in East/exec but now happily back 'home' sitting almost exactly where I stood with my dad. Ground looks at its best from here. And you don't get the sun in your eyes.
Main reason for me is my Dad and a friend of his got Season Tickets there when we went up to the Prem- The season we went into admin my Dads mate became too ill to go and I took over the seat next renewal - initially so he didnt lose it if he recovered and also so I could sit with Dad. Unfortunately Dads (and my) friend died but I've just kept it Its a great seat close to the half way line just behind the directors box - never get rained on - its a wooden floor and seats so not as cold as the East or Ponty, and the ground looks better from inside the West Got a good group of people sit around me as well
I'm East Stand Upper but will be moving next year as my dad's legs are giving in climbing all those stairs. We're thinking of just going to the ES Lower as my dad doesn't want to do the Ponty and the West Stand gets a lot of criticism. I'm surprised by the praise the WS has had in this thread so we may have a look at it and try out a few seats.
