Perhaps Shepherd thinks its OK if we go back down

Oh come on its not irrelevent

It has been leaked somehwere that there is £700K to spend on players. This means that fans think that we are able to sign players in the £500K bracket

Its not true though is it - if its an aditional £700K to spend including all costs that means that players like Bridges who was sold for £380K and must be on a minimum wage of at least 6K per week and probably more, would take the whole pot - if not more.

As I see it -and this is based on hearsay so I accept I could be completely wrong this is how things are

1. GS says there is money availlable - a figure of £700K is being bandied around

2. Andy says he isnt interested in the players he can get for that - which is puzzling the fans who are accusing him of not spending money that is availlable - thinking in terms of a couple of 300K - 400K players

In practice this 700K has to cover all costs for the season (or even 2 if we are budgeting for possibility of relegation) which means that we can only pick up players who are much cheaper with a view to bringing them on.

You could even be forgiven for thinking that Andy is doing a great job protecting the Chairman and directors by saying he wants to work with what he has got, and is being a bit let down by the stories of money being availlable

All pure conjecture on my part as I actually dont know any hard facts on this- other than the chairman has said there is money availlable for players -- whatever that means.
