Perks has had one or 2 decent games amongst many poor ones but then he aint alone in this is he.

Not had a decent game , not put a tackle in, never shoots, never takes a man on, never gets into box. Many posters make it look like they don`t watch the game in search of an extreme put down.

Time for a move for Perks and others yep maybe, but change needs to be gradual and not all at once for me, unless we are saying **** it lets concentrate on League One.

they're all end of season deals, this is definitely not a League 1 building exercise. this is a Championship survival mission. i agree there's a deal of risk with wholesale changes, but to be honest there isn't one departure i've disagreed with yet. my main worry is what happens when the 28-day deals end.

Nice to see the clearout continuing. If all three leave this week and we only bring in Lawrence that's fair enough for now. Quality over quantity and more room for youth to be given a chance.

Bring it on. They're not good enough. Gerrum shifted. Perkins gave us his all, but his legs have gone and that energy was his whole game, while Scotland was a cracking player, he's a top bloke and I like him very much, but he's getting on a bit for this level. I never saw anything in McNulty at all.

Even if I didn't like Danny Wilson before, which I bloody did, I'm loving him now. He's had a look at what we've got, seen they're no good and he's moving 'em out. Proper manager.

Sad to see Perkins go.Great player ,breaks play up and always finds a red shirt.Player of the year ,but now all of a sudden he's crap.Dont understand where the animosity towards him has come from.Just not Wilsons kind of player I suppose which is fair enough. But sometimes you don't know what you've got til its gone.

Have not watched Barnsley play this season? Nothing to do with Wilson`s kind of player, more to do with the fact he has been poor !

He's been garbage this season. Far too often we've kept players on past glories. This season, he's not a Championship footballer. He's been moved on. Dead right.

    Best news of the season.

Shame we're stuck with two other toilers though.

I really rate Perkins very highly

At one time he was crucial for us I thought - when we went on that very good run under Keith Hill I think that his injury caused us as much as a problem as Drinkwater leaving.

However, I don't think he has been up to it this season. His game is based on his fantastic work ethic and energy. I think that has gone now and we are beginning to see that he doesn't have much else to offer. He played well at Elland Road but other than that, when I have seen him he has been poor. I actually think that central midfield is a real problem area for us and glad Danny is addressing it.

Dawson isn't good enough for this level either.

I have a feeling Danny may play wingbacks with Lawrence in a midfield three. Brek and Liverpool lad on left and right WB.

Re: I really rate Perkins very highly

It was his performance at Elland Road that finally led to my conclusion that his legs had gone (or that he couldn't be arsed anymore).

Twice, he allowed their midfielder to run through unopposed and jogged back leisurely. It infuriated me more at the time because an unfit Bobby Hassell was running himself into the ground alongside him.

It shows though, that Danny has given him and Wiseman in particular, the benefit of the doubt and an opportunity to stay and fight for their places and for this club. One whimped out of that challenge and ended up in the division below. Perkins looks likely to follow his lead.
His whole 'game' was about stamina, energy and getting about the pitch. Take that away and you're left with a very ordinary footballer that would struggle for a game at The Rec.

I appreciated his efforts in his time here, he was a joy to watch in big spells since he arrived in 2011. But we move on.

There's been a lot of garbage this season apart from Perkins. In fact its easier to name the players who have had a decent season. So by your reckoning we should get rid of all the players who have had a 'poor' season.
steele/ramage/Kennedy/Etuhu/dawson/Jennings/O'Brien/Pederson/O'grady...........Get rid of them all eh ? and get a journeyman footballer in who's after a final pay cheque.

He will have to get out of the habit of following the ball. All players have a job and he should stick sometimes- and do his.

    My summary:-

Perkins - his overall contribution at BFC has been good, unfortunately this season he has been woeful and the perfect time to get shut.

McNulty - always looked a liability to me at centre half or left back. How he ever got a POTY award is beyond me.

Scotland - knocking on a bit and will probably want to play football whilst he's got a bit left in him. He'll score a few at lower level (or in Scotland I've heard).

All 3 exits are good decisions, for me.

I'm sure I heard Danny mention that he was at least trying to extend the Liverpool lad till end of the season, probably brek too I'd have thought

I'm disappointed that it hasn't worked out for Perkins this season as he was superb for the last 2 seasons & consistently one of our best players. I just hope in the long run he's remembered more for his first 2 seasons than the last 6 months.

I don't mind McNulty, felt he had a decent first season & a poor 2nd season, playing from the back under Hill suited him but he struggled to adapt after that. He'll probably get a club in league one which is his level.

Shame Scotland didn't join a few years earlier, I can understand why he wants to play regularly but he's no where near fit enough to start week in week out in the championship. The Scottish league should suit him better.

Wish all 3 all the best.

Can understand the departures; haven't had a ST this year so can't comment on all the matches but Perkins has looked less effective when I've seen them at home this season. Not sure Scotland has really been given much of a chance but likely his legs have gone a bit and a move away seemed inevitable...
