I'd be great at it if I knew about it though. The best, probably. :)

Ifind it hard to believe anybody could consider sick note (digby) to be a footballer let alone best young player. the ball boys put more effort in agame than sick note does.

What are you basing this on?

He's only ever played 13 times for us, 9 of those appearances from the subs bench. IMHO he's looked quite good at times, not so good in other games. Pretty much like all the talented players we've had that have come up through youth ranks. There's only a couple of kids I've seen in the 35 years I've been watching who have looked consistently good when brought in to the first team: Hirsty and Stones. They were both clearly destined for great things and didn't last long in our team before being signed by bigger clubs.

There's something there with Digby, but no consistency yet. He might make a great player, he might not. I understand why people see the talent in him, but to declare him the best young player at the club in 40 years is just madness to me. At present, he's not even the best young player in the squad. That's James Bree and he's two and a half years Digby's junior.

I hope Digby makes it, I hope he becomes a great player, but I've seen a number of young players who have had a much bigger impact and played far better than Digby when first selected in the first team.

George Smith has shown more than Digby in one friendly and plenty of U21 matches. I am a bit biased on that one though...
