I'd rather think of it with a more mature response ;-) of which my thought is who ******* cares what you prefer, i personally think PES is the better football game, and I definitely wont be buying Fifa because i dont like the way it plays. The voting in most of these polls suggest that the view is 50/50 roughly and that is more than fine with me. It's good that there is competition, but in my experience of the 2, there is no competition where my money is going.

Pro evo's gameplay with fifa's database and leagues would be the greatest game in an ideal world. Just hope PES2009 have cut down on the online lag cheaters and improved online play in general

If PES is better online then i'm sure it will be onto a winner. The 4 humans on a team online looks like a great idea to me - not as ambitious as the 10 individual's that Fifa has, but I reckon if you do play that you are gonna get 10 people who think they're Maradona.

FIFA is the better out of the 2.............

Deffo. Especially after playing the awful pes demo.

Konami need to start from scratch cos they are going nowhere now.

Well I played both demos on the 360 and I found FIFA more fluid and it wipes the floor with PES graphics wise. As far as I can tell PES isn't moving on much and in the past the online bit has been woeful so this time round I've gone with FIFA and I have to say loving it.

I have had every single pro evo since it first started with ISS so nobody can call me a fifa fan boy. Up until last year i could agree with the majority on here and say Pro Evo is far superior mostly in terms of gameplay. However last years attempt at a supposed 'next gen' title was appauling, gameplay was ridiculously fast with exactly the same animations for each interception, control, pass etc. The online mode was shocking too, i played 10 games i gave up it was horrendous with each game being too laggy to be playble with stupid scoreline 7-5 etc. Whereas fifa 08 had 'decent' gameplay granted not as good as pro evo but still playable, fully licensed leagues i.e. Barnsley!, manager mode, and the biggest be a pro 5 vs 5. All this with smooth online gameplay and amazing graphics.

This year after buying fifa 09 and playing the pro evo demo, Pro hasn't got a chance in even competing this year, the same ridiculous gameplay too fast, too rigid in player movement, animations the same. Don't get me wrong its still fun but for realism in how football plays which is what most of you PES fan boys keep saying its nowhere near. It has some nice touches which are better than fifa i.e. player reactions after missing chances, pre match build up, the edit mode but other than that i really can't see how pro gets close. This years fifa plays like real football, the right tempo which allows good build up but not at stupid speeds, each time the player picks up the ball it takes into account everything leading to different animations each time, shooting is improved, passes are made much quicker (still not as good as pro for reaction time). Game modes way better too, be a pro season mode which if anybody hasn't played yet should make an effort to! 10 vs 10 online, silky smooth online 1 vs 1 once again, addidas live session which updates every week to take into account player form in real life etc. Don't get me started with Pro evo be a legend mode, reminds of knock off addidas trainers with two stripes instead 3. fifa still has its problems, frustrating reaction times in certain situations but i suppose you can't kick a ball as hard as possible instantly in real life so maybe being too picky and the amount of curl you can get on free kicks is very unrealistic. Other than that i really can't see how anybody would play pro over fifa this year.

Think some of you PES fan boys need to wake up and actually play fifa this year you might get a pleasant surprise. Oh and Barnsley are pretty decent this year :)

Only one winner this year for me and it isn't pro i wish it was and will probably still buy it, the tide has turned its Pro's time to play catch up.

Well I have now given Fifa demo a chance

and although the gap has been bridged, it's still just not got it. Things just don't seem to flow like PES does. I'll admit so far I still prefer PES08 to the 09 demo - but I know for sure when I get the full game it will grow on me.</p>

Glad to see PES still winning in the voting stakes. The people bigging up Fifa are clutching at straws.
