Some right vermin got released early to make space for someone like Peter Lynch. I accept he was in the wrong and examples had to be made but come on. Within days some of those released had already reoffended. The government was willing to gamble on letting out some dangerous folk to make a point.
Tommy Robinson appears in court tomorrow and will probably be remanded to Belmarsh prison so won’t be going anywhere
I'm not sure if I've ever mentioned this before but I've learned a lot from you over the years and find your view on things tend to help me understand it and understand people more than I do from most books. Just thought I'd say that.
I’m from Wath and was back home the weekend of the riots and was shocked this was happening in my town, but I didn’t feel as scared as the women and kids in the holiday inn hotel. They would have been terrified, so does this lad know feel remorse? If he does then good luck to him hope he turns it around.
A thread like this was always going to provoke differences in opinion. Proper ‘popcorn’ post bearing in mind the amount of attention the riots attracted on here at the time.
The judge said he hadn't acted violently mate. He was in and around violence with other people but he was vocal and holding a placard, nothing else.
The people who actually tried burning down an hotel or actively called for it, are scumbags. That's all I have to say on the matter to be fair
By the sounds of it, he was naive and maybe even stupid for being there and getting caught up in it all. But I'm shocked when reading about what he didn't actually do, but he was accused of by people who thought he did!. I don't or rather didn't know the bloke, but its a shame how this has all ended for him, and more now for his family.
