I think that's more than slightly unfair. He had a very good game today. I don't think his distribution is any worse than Nyatangas. That said, it's nowhere near as good as Cranie's. He won literally everything in the air today. League 1 is a hoof ball league so he's suited to it. If he's available, I'd play him and push Cranie to right back. Not because I rate Ramage over Cranie but because we're seriously lacking in the full back department and Cranie is the best full back we have at the moment. I wonder if we could offer him a player/coaching contract that pays based on how many games he's available for.
They won't waste the wages on him I don't think. That's not me saying I don't rate him because I do, I just feel the wages that we pay him could be used far more effectively elsewhere.
Difficult one. For me it would depend on what our other options are. Would make a great coach at some point.
BFJ, Ramage and Cranie can go for me. Holgate, Cowgill, Nyatanga and some new blood at centre half for me. None of the three I'd release (or Lewin) were Danny signings. Them being here and on contracts probably hindered his efforts at recruitment last summer. Chance for LJ to free up some funds there. We should be ploughing our budget into recruiting wingers, pacy lads, creators and cnuts. At least one of the latter.
Absolutely 100%, in a different league to Mvoto and Cranie, has the experience of numerous promotions, a natural leader on the pitch, good for the youngsters and puts into the club.
It's a tough one. He's a good player to have for his leadership & experience but he's barely been fit all season & he'd probably command a decent wage so I'd probably say no
