Couldn't give a **** who Peterborough have or haven't fielded tonight, they've got the business done and already confirmed a play off spot so can do what they want within the rules. Us on the other hand...
Be funny if they got there wish to play us and we pump them. They are still smarting from that Huddersfield game, beating them in the playoffs would tip them over the edge
Not sure how many times I can repeat this TBH My comment you originally replied to was based on the OP saying RESERVE team, NOT Squad players at the point of me typing that I didn’t even know they were playing last night. I also asked was there not a rule put in place to stop wholesale changes like the OP stated. You then replied saying Stop what. I replied saying I was asking about playing reserves and added a link of an example of where there appears to be a rule about playing your strongest possible team, there are also historically many examples of teams being fined for playing a ‘weakened’ team but you keep telling me they weren’t reserves. I know they weren’t reserves and wasn’t saying they was. My main question was and still is does the rule exist not about who played last night.
Requirement to Play Full Strength Sides in League Matches Each Club shall play its full strength in all Matches played under the auspices of The League unless some satisfactory reason is given. In the event of the explanation not being deemed satisfactory the Board shall refer the matter to a Disciplinary Commission which has the power to impose such penalties as it shall think fit.
Thanks, that suggests there is something still in place but suspect using first team squad players will be justifiable. Do you know if this still exists: The new guidance states: "For any League match played on or after the 4th Thursday in March (including season 2017-18), any team sheet for a league game should include at least 10 outfield players who featured on the team sheet for the League match before."
Am I missing something here? They still had a small chance of getting automatic promotion unless my maths have let me down? Surely you go all out for a big win, then win the game on Saturday and see where you are then? What if Derby and Bolton lose on Saturday? It’s unlikely of course but not impossible. Wouldn’t sit right with me at all if I was a Posh fan.
I get what your saying but they'd have to hope Derby lose at home to Carlisle and overturn a 9 goal better goal difference. Unlikely.
they had 2 games to turn that goal difference though. Surely you have a right go in the first game, and if it doesn’t work out you can rest the players on Saturday anyway? Just also seen they are playing Bolton on Saturday so finishing above them was very much in their own hands.
I wouldn't be two bothered about what Peterborough do.. we haven't beaten Northampton yet..one bridge at a time. And after Monday's lift in optimism.. the news coming out of jokewell after just gives fuel to the flames that the problem is higher up than Collins..
