Where have the board not invested? And try not to rant at me. You’re talking to a human here not someone who is at war with you.
The Barnsley ifollow coms team alway give a vastly distorted view of our games.. first half we were appalling. Second half after subs we huffed and puffed a bit better.. but never created f'erk all
They comprehensively outplayed us in the first half. We were embarrassing really. We played better in the second but they let us. They were never under any pressure, they just let us keep the ball and do nothing with it because they were winning. And Huddersfield missed a couple of total gimmes. Playing OK in the middle third of the field for 25 minutes of a game when you're losing - that's not worthy winners as far as I can see.
Don’t think Huddersfield ‘let us’ back in to the game - our changes made a difference and there was a definite shift in application on our part. That’s why they made their own subs to try and win the ascendancy back - essentially finishing with their regular starting XI and getting those late chances that they should have buried. Didn’t deserve to win at all but can feel unlucky not to have pulled it back and gone to extra time.
Well you've already turned Farnham's worthy of an equaliser into "worthy winners" already. Your point was that on no possible scale could Barnsley be worthy of anything from that game. If Shirley Bassey hadn't fouled one of their players completely stupidly, we'd have drawn level. We were better on the ball than them second half. You could hear that their fans were griping about how much we were on top. If you extracted our pathetic season from consideration and looked at that game in isolation, you'd have thought today was a decent effort from us. In my opinion.
We have to start and realise that the pitch is more than two thirds long, and side to side and backwards doesn`t win matches just boosts possession stats.
We signed 2 in the summer but one was always injured and the other doesn’t seem anywhere near as good as Chaplin we we let go
Same question as the one I'll ask this coming Tuesday: how many games can a manager go without winning over 90 minutes without being sacked? Surely, surely he goes when we lose on Tuesday. This is becoming fùcking ridiculous.
I only saw the second half. We had much more ball and thought we played some ok stuff until the final third. But they always looked more like scoring, and there was a few let offs for us. But I don’t think an equaliser would have been undeserved on the second half showing alone
I don't see him going this season, no way is Conway going to admit to two disastrous appointments in a row. We could lose every remaining game, and may well do that, I don't think they'll sack him. They'll leave that until 6 matches in next season, cos they haven't got a feckin clue. Now then, wine time.
