Anyone know how they decide who plays when for the semis? For example, if we finish 6th are we most likely to be the "A" game which is at 18.00 on 17th and 12.30 on 22nd? Or the "B" game which is at 20.15 and 17.30 on the same two days? Or is there no real science to it and just up to Sky?
https://talksport.com/football/efl/863960/efl-confirm-play-off-dates-fans-back-stadiums/ No mention of which position plays at which time, but both matches are on the same day so it doesn't really matter.
I assume game A is 6th v 3rd it raises an interesting point about spectators given that Boris makes his announcement on Monday - it wouldn’t give much time to prepare …. and then it would provide a massive advantage to the team in the second leg if they were allowed home fans - surely the EFL wouldn’t allow this
I assumed the same, but there didn't seem to be a real pattern when looking at previous years. And yeah not much time for planning so surely it's home fans at all games or not. I believe the lower placed team also plays the first game at home in order to give the higher placed team an advantage.
I think fans will be allowed in on the 17th as if its like the last one relaxation the changes come into effect at 00:01 on Monday morning I see the premiership is planning to allow fans for the last 2 games of the season so I would expect home fans to be allowed in for the playoffs Now for total guesswork - currently I think that would be 4000 at Oakwell. Depending on protocols and how early you need to be there etc I could probably make the 8:15pm kick off - no chance for a 6:15 one without taking at least half a day off work. Its really not going to give clubs long to prepare though
The assumption is to allow fans back in on the 17th. Rugby fixtures have been put back from the weekend to the Monday to allow for fans returning.
Yep I can’t recall how the ‘roadmap’ was done last time - was it decided on the Friday and then ratified on the Monday in parliament ?
Hardly spoilt for choice this year though so far with using those holiday days. Get it booked off anyway!
Typical bad timing work wise as a deadline that was Friday 14th has now been pushed back a week - had we made a release on the 14th taking the 17th off would be no problem but now we will be doing all the release trials and its much harder to take time off that week - nipping off a couple of hours early for a 20:15 would be fine - taking half a day a bit more tricky but if I can get a ticket I am sure I will try and work something out
Why did I only get odds of 10/1 when I put £20 LAST SEPTEMBER on BFC to get promoted to the Premiership?
For the Semi Finals, I'm hoping for the later games. I already have to get up ay 04:15 this Saturday, for the 04:30 kick-off of our last game of the season. I'll have The Colliers on my laptop on iFollow; Wednesday on my TV on ESPN+ and Rotherham on my iPhone on ESPN+ (if I am allowed to stream two parallel games).
Anyone know how many Season tickets we sold this season and whether Super fans with reds reserved + get any priority ( I dont think they should even though I am one) am assuming 4000 tickets for home fans only so if we sold 8000 I guess we will have to have some sort of prize draw for tickets as only half will be allowed in - I guess some wont want to go or cant go but we will still be over subscribed if we sold more than 5000 and I am sure we did
