Why would the directors get involved in the presentation? I think you'll find other people assigned to these matters.
If you haven't gathered already, all instructions come from above meaning the board they make every decision at Oakwell but there is always someone ready to read some dark meaning into statements
Got to admit its been a propper rollercoaster season, more ups an darns than a prostitutes knickers but were in the play offs an apart from a great 3 months, the other 5 av been a bit hit an miss. The season has been long and a few players av had commanding roles at various times throughout the season, Every player thats turned out for the Club av contributed a bit, a lot, an in some cases foook all. My overall Player of the Season taking the whole season into account is, Williams
I'd say I've actually had more emails from the club this past 6 months or so than ever before. Many of those appear to have been a second version of something that's been sent previously or something that's of no interest to me. We need some kind of option for targeted mailing. For instance, I have little interest in the carvery in the East Stand on a Sunday, let me unsubscribe from that. Ticketing on the other hand is important, if anything I'd prefer to be able to get priority news on that or the latest news updates from the club. So, yeah, quality over quantity I guess.
The board seem more interested in getting food and drink right on match days, more than the team. The only way i think that is possible is to name a manager not a coach and he is in charge of which player come and go, within budget of course
Me and @Merde Tete were discussing this on Saturday. it must be such an easy thing to get right, yet they get it so badly wrong. The service is crazy slow and appears to be lacking any semblance of organisation. they must know pretty much how many pints are going to be ordered etc. so just get them pulled. Have one person taking the money , move on to the next punter. also have a separate queue for food / alcohol ! Easy!
The fast fill pumps weren't on. Carling Dark Fruits and Carling were sold out on the pumps. Madri turned to foam with at least 20 folk still in the queue. Bottles of Carling and Stoford Press vanished quickly, as did the bottles of Cola and lemonade. No pies, sausage rolls or hot dogs to be seen, just chips. I guess you could argue that the lost sales revenue will be offset against the cost of potentially unsold stock over the summer.
I think sometimes it’s worth making a bit of a loss on unsold stock just to keep the customers happy on the day.
I agree! Especially as I went without any halftime refreshment. Aside from that, surely the club was expecting/hoping to make the play offs and would need the stock for the home leg?
