So - it was Kris Boyd and now it's Tommy Wright and James Hayter. I'm not sure what to believe on this - on the optimistic side, we are actively looking to strengthen the squad with players who will help win the promotion run-in and would be at home in the Championship. On the pessimistic side, are we going to be able to compete with other bidders - do we think we made a definite bid for Boyd, or was it agent talk? Won't the same thing happen with Hayter? I would imagine that a good few sides will look at him and he would choose a southern Championship side, given a number of options. Best chance for us would be Tommy Wright, I would think.

Other thought - if we are genuinely in for the likes of Boyd and Hayter, is a player on the way out in order to finance the deal? There might be a player we could cash in on before they leave for free in the summer. I am just thinking McPhail, or Shuker - hope not, but, if a good offer came for either from a Championship side, it would be best to have some replacements already lined up, wouldn't it? Probably all just speculation, but with a hint of truth at the club gossip stage.

If McPhail went would we be that bothered really.

I get the impression that Kell is nearly ready and having seen him play is a better option than McPhail and Burns anyway.

Howard plays in Mcphail's position and I think is a better player with a greater goal threat.

If we can get a fee for him or just simply get his wages off the payroll and replace his wages with someone else then I would not be too upset.

    RE: Yes he does...

He owns the club and jointly owns the land with the council.

Why, who do you think owns the club? Please empart your knowledge on us.

    He is the Chairman only.

He works for the club for free but does not own the club.

Have a look at the companies house records for the football club. Patrick Cryne is NOT a shareholder and therefore does not own the club

If you are going to post FACTS, at least get them right.

Patrick owns the company that opns BFC.

Just because he isnt a director means nothing.

FACT. FACT. FACT. FACT. FACT. FACT.

No he does not, unless it has recently changed, he is NOT a director of BFC 2002(?)Limited and neither is any company. He is a director of Oakwell Community Assets, which owns the land assets.
