Daggers should get it. His transformation was far greater than Wiseman's. But I'm not arsed. More interested in the fans award. Hoping Daggers or Mellis get that. But it will go to Perkins much like it went to Steele. For sheer consistency.
Although perks generally is one of most consistent performers. And is probably my 2nd choice for POTY, I think hes been quite poor over the last 5 or 6 games. He struggles to make an impact on the game without the presence of Etuhu at the side of him.
I live in his old flat - if he were to come back I've got a sackful of URGENT stamped letters waiting for him. Seems he might not have sorted all his affairs before he left.
Can't see it being Wiseman because how can they give it to someone who was so bad that he was dropped from the side for quite a long period of time and who the club tried to sell because he was playing so poorly this season? Yes he's done really well since he came back but it isn't a 'players player of the last couple of months award' is it. I think it will either be Perkins, Dagnall or Dawson for their effort but it could be anyone and if our players vote while they're pissed like they must have done last year then I wouldn't be surprised if they voted for Sidney Hill.
When wiseman leaves and gives the supporters the two fingered salute some on here will still wonder why !
I don't think we tried to sell him because he was playing so poorly. It was obvious then he needed a fresh start because the vast majority of fans didn't like him and it looked like he'd never win them over. Thankfully he seems to have now but I think if we're relegated we'll struggle to hold onto him. Any decent offer from another club, even from a top club in league 1, and he'll be straight off after the way the fans treated him. I wouldn't blame him.
Would have gone to Blackpool, but they offered him less money. I'm glad he stayed. He's starting to look like the lad we signed originally, not the lad that Keith destroyed.
