Player's that don't want to play for their Country. Should they have a choice ?

    yes indeed it is

    because you had a good many who had well paid jobs lined up, if not alreasy in one,taken in to national service at the time

    also as Football is the national sport

    then the national team should all be present at the cenotaph on rememberance day and together place a wreath...maybe that would instill some National pride in their hearts. When they see the 'vets' on crutches and in wheel chairs..who fought and saw their comrades die for BRITAIN for ENGLAND for SCOTLAND for WALES for IRELAND... maybe that may stir them to run through HELL for a country and a cause they believe in... it certainly got me through both the falklands and the gulf wars.
