For once, we brought on a sub that didn't weaken the team. I thought he looked surprisingly sharp considering how long he's been out. He didn't score his chance, he didn't get it on target, but it was very difficult, dropping over his shoulder. The huge positive was he got there, he slipped his marker, he was quick off the mark and he stretched well to make a good contact. He touched the ball on about a dozen other occasions, mostly in our half. Each time he controlled it superbly, looked up and played a forward pass. On all but one occasion to a Barnsley player, which is an insanely good return for one our of players this season. I thought he looked class. Must be a huge boost to the manager to have someone on the bench who is a good player, who retains possession and who may even, horror of all horrors, score a goal.
What a weird thing to get worked up about. Maybe we should never play him ever again, so nobody wants to buy him.
I'm curious to see how much he benefits from Bassi's supply. I hope they get plenty of game time together.
I don't care about his one game back, he's been poor for a year and nobody can deny that, "it's feckin true I tell you", if you think he's been captain fantastic and banged 15 to 20 goals in then you believe what you like, morris is head and shoulders above him, he would be a miss woodrow wouldn't, what's so hard to say that he's been poor. I would love woodrow to get back to when he was at his best but at the moment he's not.
