I'd be happy if we won 9 out of the next 11 games as Tyrone suggests. Do I think it's likely no. Do you genuinely feel that this is going to happen? I'd be very happy if we manage to finish in the top 12. I would think that the coaching staff and the players should receive massive congratulations for doing so. I'm going to enjoy our end of season it'll be fun whatever happens. I travel tomorrow to Qpr with little expectation but still I travel. The whole black and white view that most on here seem to go for doesn't appeal to me. In the scenario above we still didn't manage to win 9 out of 11 games with a much better team.
Nope it means you live on planet Tyrone where punctuation is extinct. You are the negative one you don't think we can beat Real Madrid 90 nil. Stop being so pessimistic.
Eighteen months ago, the BBS was awash with negativity and pessimism. It wasn't pleasant to read, but after going on such a long losing run, accompanied by an FA Cup defeat at Altrincham, it was at least understandable. However, we've been in the top half of the Championship for most of this season. We've played some terrific football at times and had the greatest success in the league at this level since the 1999/2000 season. But, apparently, it's still not good enough. Can we improve aspects of our playing staff and the running of the club? Of course we can. However, that's always been the case in every season we've had. I don't know if the likes of Hedges & Mowatt (for example) will be a success here. But I'm more than willing to give the lads a chance and certainly won't write any of the new lads off. I don't know which, if any, players will be leaving this Summer. I don't know who we'll be bringing in. But then neither does anyone else, so I'm going to continue enjoying the season and let the future take care of itself for now. After witnessing the success of the last calendar year, I'm extremely grateful to all at the club and believe they've all earned the right to be cut a bit of slack when the success appears to be at a slower rate than 2016. If that means I'm a lunatic, so be it.
I wasn't referring to you as the lunatic I've not written anyone off. In fact I'd rather us play those players instead of loan players who have been largely poor. Time to get banned I think
Perhaps its me, but there ought to be room for everyone's viewpoint to be put forward. Any debate should be done with respect, even if agreement can't be reached. As for tomorrow's game at QPR, I won't be going as we're celebrating Laura's birthday instead.
There is room for everyone's viewpoint even Tyrone's. Doesn't mean that vaguely normal people might not tease him a bit. Football's only a daft game. I didn't see the challenges in the threads where people were playing the any criticism is verboten card though. Happy day of birth to Laura.
I think you'll find it's "Do you realise what you've put us through?" day once she gets back from uni!!
I've listed. A sequence. Of realistic outcomes which But yet you are the one with the completly black. You are shooting down my anything could happen. View in one
Because. In a 90 game of football it's highly. Unlikely given the. Highest ever score is 149. 0 and the opposition in that game was not of the standard of real Madrid I do however consider making a comparison. On beating. Wigan Athletic. 1 0 and or real Madrid. 90 0 is a ridiculous comparison
Stop being so negative wheres your faith... I went to a Australia West Samoa game that ended 31 nil and the Aussies definitely eased off. Anything is possible don't you have faith in Hecky and the boys. Results in isolation of course we may beat Wigan. I think we will. Winning 8 or 9 out of 11 the odds would be pretty astronomical for any football club let alone one in poor form thats lost half a team.
We're currently 28/10 to beat QPR tonight and 13/10 to win on Saturday. Or 100/1 to finish in the top six. So the bookies don't reckon astronomical odds, just really long ones.(Villa and Cardiff are both 150/1 for top six) We will win some games, draw some games and lose some. I'm not going to predict how many of each, but top 10 is certainly achievable. Top 6 is probably a step too far. Although if you think we will do it, put a couple of quid on and let the bookies pay for your weekend at Wembley....
