Please, please, please put the Kitching tackle in!

A proper throwback cruncher - I've heard the Derby player is still spinning in the air and was last seen orbiting Mars.

that was brilliant. also the first tackle of the game in midfield. think it might have been Phillips, not sure. straight off the bat, they knew they were in for a game.

I thought the referee was excellent in the early stages, especially letting "proper" tackles like that go. However, as per usual, he let himself down later on by constantly blowing up for fouls against us, even where there was no foul committed, yet ignoring fouls on our players.

Oh well, you can't have a great result AND a great referee on the same day, can you?

Put in Kitching taking one for the team with his booking.

Tackle was down below in front of us. Loved it!

Love a fair tackle that sends someone flying. Literally flying in their player’ case today.

Great to see their lad just get up and shrug it off too. Proper game of football today.

Yet if you look on the Derby forum the ref favoured is ignoring fouls on their players and giving us soft ones.

So he probably got it right.
Interesting how much better the refs have been since we formally complained

Except when “Animal” made a tackle like that the player didn’t get up

Hardest player I've EVER seen. And that includes the likes of Hunter. Tommy Smith etc.

He was a one off. He’d never string three games together these days. Suspension after suspension

Connell dropped Kitchen right in it with that pass, he had no choice but to take him out.

He certainly did, but Kitching definitely took one for the team there. Just as well also, as the Derby player would have been out of sight if he hadn’t rugby tackled him

Crazy thing is, He wasn't what you'd call a dirty player. Just a solid, hard "it's my ball" only one winner tackler. And the bookings he did get, were unjustified. Imo. I was shocked when we let him go.
Certainly wasn't in the same mould as his brother Brian lol.

Fair play to them. No rolling around, no appealing, just got up and that's it (from that clip)
