You risk making things worse in my view. I'm not a fan of Davey at all and wish he'd been given the boot at the end of last season but I don't want Cryne to get up and walk away, which he may well do if everyone starts/keeps in-fighting. I'm also trusting in him enough to believe that PC will have set himself a reasonably swift deadline to act if necessary. Heaven forbid, but if we lose both games next week and the calamity defending continues, I think PC will have had enough of Davey and he will be gone anyway.
RE: Why does he need to tell you who he would replace him with? nt It was a question of reason you Numpty...
Mate , he has his opinions and you have yours life is all about opinions and you will never change his , he wont change yours. Sometimes its just better to ignore the things you dont agree with, because if you react to them, all you end up with is higher blood pressure and you still will disagree about it. By the way he never mentioned Davey there.
RE: what do you idiots want, 20 games and 1 point before cryne grows some balls nt No. I wouldn't want that. I'm not keen on overdramatics either.
If you do get to pc this could be all that he needs to say bye bye. last season is family wont him to do it then.
While ageeing that I don't think Simon Davey isn't going to get us anywhere except League 1, I don't think that would serve much purpose. Soz.
Hope you don't think you are speaking for me or, I suspect, the vast majority of reasonable people who are willing to let the guy who saved the club make the decisions on the basis of what is best for the club. Short memories some people.
Why do you have this faith? He has never done so in the past he has taken the cheap option in Ritchie (which worked out and i think he should have been given more time) and this useless welsh **** who has been given more time and resources than any Barnsley manager i remember, so i have no faith the Crybe to do the right thing and get rid of him and if he does he will no doubt once more take the cheap option and make someone from within the club manager.
The empty can rattles the loudest ... Irrespective of whether you believe Simon Davey is the man for the job or not what on earth do you hope to achieve. You can delude yourself that it's in the best interests of the club long term but frankly all you're doing is undermining things further ... well done ... still, at least you get to feel like a big man whilst you're acting like a spoilt child. I suspect that Davey is a dead man walking so far as the managers job is concerned but I still hold out hope that I'm wrong because I'd rather see the team winning that be able to give myself a pat on the back thinking that I was right all along and Davey should have never got the job. Last Saturday was the first time we're had all the summer signings available. Gray hadn't even trained with his team mates and given Leicester's home record last season I expected that to be a game we may well lose. Before you ask, no, at the moment I'm not happy with the situation on the field but I do genuinely feel that Davey works very hard and I'm sensible enough to accept that someone who sees more than 90 mins a week, ie- Cryne, is a lot better placed than me. You're a fool sir and don't for a second assume that what you plan on doing is in the name of the majority of Barnsley fans.
Thanks for so many replies - drbloke your questions will hopefully get asked! It goes to show that the majority of people are willing to just accept that things will happen in their own time. Patrick Cryne was asked, at the end of the East Dene meeting, if he was going to leave the club and he said he wasn't. I am not going to go ranting and raving tomorrow - I want to know what is going to happen after Davey has broken every promise he supposedly made to Cryne. I am not the one organising the demonstration (that is out of my hands) but I feel sure it will go ahead despite the result next Saturday. We have had to watch enough dross throughout Davey's tenure as manager - you cannot tell me that every player he has brought in are not good enough for the Championship yet here we are in a perennial struggle. The fanbase seem to have got brainwashed into submission but we pay money to buy a product and we have every right to complain when the product is substandard. FAO the poster who said that I should go to the games and support the Reds - I do but there is nothing to be happy about. Simon Davey seems to think we have enough defensive cover, he has slipped back into his PR disasters again (blaming an old lady for Hallfredsson's clearance, saying he is bored with the 'Davey Out' chants, stating that the booing fans should stay away) He has to go now because it would give a new manager (if quickly installed) time to act during the International break. Steve Coppell and Tony Adams were at the ground on Tuesday but Mark Robins would be a good shout for me. Anyway I have taken your comments onboard and will state that tomorrow I represent a section of the fanbase that are not happy with the situation. I would hope that Patrick Cryne is robust enough to sit down and talk with a paying fan of the club - if he isn't there then hopefully somebody else.
I don't agree with your ideals, but my advice fwiw.... there are probably only 3 people who can give you any answers, Cryne, Rowing or Taylor. If any of them are at the club when you just waltz in I would suspect that they have a schedule for their day and are unlikely to drop everything for a stranger who wants to have a whinge. Making a formal request for a meeting might come across as more professional and get a more successful response.
shall those of us who don't agree also stage a demonstration? I would go far as to say those who would prefer SD is given more time, and that is not to say we are happy with recent results obviously, represent the silent majority. It is, compared to the total number of fans, clearly a minority who say we want davey out, it is simply that no-one chants we want davey in due to a possible reaction from the aforementioned minority. the view that davey should be sacked now is not the overwhelming view of all Barnsley fans. Furthermore it is PC who owns the club and spends his money and it is therefore a decision for him and people he chooses to consult, since we on the terraces do not know all the facts about how Davey works as a manager etc yet we hope he has.
