I think Gentle Ben sounds better. It also gives the club a movie star feel which will surely attract some marquee signings.
No name calling, trolling or the rest of it. Look at what is happening at Oakwell and make your own mind up. I have my opinion and the rest will have theirs. Let time be the judge of the rights and wrongs of events at the club I will always support.
top and bottom of it is none of us know whats happening at oakwell and as zaslos says, time will tell.
You can criticise without being insulting. When you start throwing insults and abuse, you lose your argument straight away.
The money put aside for the scoreboard was used to finance the loan signings. That was mentioned on here a while back. I believe there is a sell on clause in the Stone's deal. I have as much of a clue about the budget as you do. We don't know what's in the pipeline re transfers. We may be trying to keep transfers quiet . Also, because a player has rejected a contract, it doesn't mean there's no room for negotiations with that player. Cheer up! At least the rain is warm
Firstly well said Gally. SuperTyke: I see your point but surely you don't want the club to buy a player quickly just to appease fans? After listening to interviews with Ben and Danny it is clear that: Players up and down the country who have been offered new contracts by their parent clubs have a month before needing to respond to those offers It's normal for players and agents to wait for that month to pass and hold out for offers from other clubs, hence why we have not heard back from Mellis, Cywka and O'Brien yet With that in mind its fair to presume any targets we have approached are also holding out for better offers This presumption is also backed up due to their been a lack of transfer activity up and down the country, apart from in the Premiership. The manager has already drawn up a list of targets for each of the positions he wants to fill We have already approached our first choice targets for these positions and are awaiting decisions from those players We won't formally approach a second target until the first target has turned us down (even if some fans want to see us spend quickly) The club want their budget to go as far as possible, this means approaching the best targets first and waiting patiently. All of this is made clear in recent interviews coming from the club.
