Its a results driven business.
Daveys return this season has been better than ARs. I don't think anyone really believes Andy would have kept us up do they?
I can't see Davey not being in charge next year so we may then get to the point where we can compare both managers over an equal number of games. That would mean ignoring the level of course.
I was surprised no one had posted the result of ARs first game in charge at Town. So will I be the first to congratulate him on Towns win today? Well done Andy.

I think most of the issues you outlined were discussed on this board at great length at the time those particular controversies arose.
We can also raise other issues such as the manner in which McIndoe left, and the way in which the matter was disclosed to the fans.
There are plenty of reasons knock Shepherd as a chairman, and Davey as a manager - but until we are safe (which we so nearly are now) I suggest that it would be better to let sleeping dogs lie and focus ourselves on the excellent results the players have pulled in recently, and what we have yet to achieve.
If we stay up it will be a massive achievement for the season. We have had no money and no end of problems. Our players have not been found wanting for ability this year and I have lost count of how many times I thought we'd definately blown it. If we stop up it will be because the players and the management have dug deep into God only knows what.
For Christ's sake - get behind the lads. We all know that things will have to change for next year - one way or another, but right now all we need are another three points (or a win for Ipswich!). Every single fan should be getting behind the team at this time and not looking to wrangle over issues - the way they have played they have earned this support. Right now you're either a supporter or your not. There is a time and a place for everything.

RE: No credit to the management then OB If Davey took us into the Premiership and we won the FA Cup Slackbladder woudn't give Davey any credit.
It would all be down to AR and RH getting us promoted from the Ale House League. (doh)

Does the ends not justify the means in this instance? perhaps Davey has made management decisions based upon the situation he has found himself facing (none of which we are privvy to). At the end of the day, 50 points is more than most expected us to get an no doubt SD's managerial decisions have been more than a little contributory to that.
RE: No credit to the management then OB just like it was not down to AR and RH that we got promoted. We all know that we were lucky to get promoted. Let it go now EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!
Nothing more than I would expect from you 2 numpties. No idea about the management yet, ask me in a year. I have my viewsand there is little point in discussing them with you 2 narrow minded buffoons. I give credit to the players for what they have done this season, many of whom have been pilloried by the likes of you as not being good enough for the Championship. They have stood up and been counted these last few games and will see us through, total respect for them for doing that. I hope they stick by us and go on to bigger and better things next season and the management team back them up and supplement them with 3 or 4 quality signings.
Thing is JC - - whilst you say many fans couldn't see us staying up with Ritchie in charge - there's simply no way anybody could say for definite that that would be the case, any more than you could say we'd end up with 55 points had Davey been in control from last August. It's supposition, based on statistics that can be manipulated to prove a point to to settle any particular point of view. Statistics mid-way through last season would probably have gone against Ritchie getting us to the play-offs and promotion. In my opinion Gordon was wrong to highlight the ppg issue in the first place, it's a weak argument, and he shouldn't be offended if people pick him up on the subject. The fact he clearly has been offended shows to me that he's not as hard-skinned as he should be for a football club chairman. Ask yourself, did John Dennis ever publicly rise to fans' criticism?
RE: can we have the edited version tomorrow? here is the short version Shep is a lovely person, AR is still crap Davey is still crap we should have free buses for away fans We should let Liecester fans in cheap too Oh No we shouldn`t If I have missed anything you will be told by someone else .
RE: I'll tell you why Johnny.. Valid points mate, but football is no place for morality.
I shoudn't really have said that considering I am a signatory to several FA Codes of Conduct.
But what if Man U charge us more for a game at Old TRafford, should we let them come here on the cheap or what.
As a Club we are wealthy in the loyalty of our fan base but we are not a wealthy Club. The only way we can hope to stay at this level and progress if if we get money through the turn stiles. We can't keep asking Pat Cryne to keep us solvent.

RE: can we have the edited version tomorrow? Is there any reason in particular you always spell Leicester as Liecester?
I'll tell thi what I am not a fan of educating pork which is undoubtingly the intellectual better of your good? self. I could rant on and on. However I simply cannot be arsed. You are a gimp.
football is no place for morality? So where is the place for morality? I noticed your small claims court help thread earlier this week, was that a place for morality? /poo

RE: Thing is JC - You are right, there is no way we could be sure that AR wouldn't keep us up. But we were getting to the point of no return and action had to be taken by someone. Sadly that action was taken by the Board.
There were no signs on or off the pitch, IMHO, that AR was attempting to make the changes which needed to be made. He was quite happy to continue with the squad he had.
I do not believe that anyone who is subjected to criticism shouldn't be given the right to reply. Why should Shep have to keep his mouth shut when he has been subjected to some hateful, disgraceful attacks.

RE: football is no place for morality? You sound just like the Barstewards who ripped me off.
**** of and keep the the point you fecking toss pot.
