Got to agree there. I've seen a lot of people argue they don't protect anyone and people (me) argue that they make it less safe in other ways, I've seen people argue it's a breach of their rights etc but I've not heard anyone outright say 'it doesn't protect ME so I won't wear it'

I don't think so, I keep good social distance and take care not to cough or sneeze without covering my mouth etc and I sanitise my hands on the way into shops. There is still no compelling evidence about face masks unless you are talking about the sort that are used by medical staff or the all-face visors that some people are wearing in beauty salons etc.

Last week I sat in the Apple shop in Birmingham to sort out my partners watch and wore a face mask which they gave me and had to take my specs off because they steamed up and I couldn't see.

You have a point about being asymptomatic but in all honesty I very seriously doubt that we have had it, my partner has a few underlying medical conditions, one of which involves her oesophagus so I'm sure she wouldn't have been asymptomatic.

I only speak from experience and base my opinions on the scientific evidence. I'm definitely not a selfish person.

Result of the latest You Gov poll shows wearing a mask in a shop is making people less likely to shop rather than more likely.

Posted in the other shopping thread I'll ask it here too.
As anyone else noticed a lot of people where only one member of a family is wearing a mask?
Seems like a lot of people don't actually understand the theory behind it at all.
