    I'm not biting honest, but most of my students have more disposable income than me - and it isn't from the state, it's from mummy and daddy.

    A lot of my students have part-time jobs as well - a few have full-time jobs (including a full-time fireman).

    The old image of scroungers on grants is well out of date nowadays. It is the exception rather than the norm to go through uni on handouts from the Government.

    The only student i know who does get a fair bit from the government is in a wheelchair.

    I can assure you that Mossy's right... a lot of students live in appalling conditions these days due to lack of money, it's not such a great living I'll tell you.
