After last 3 results and performances I may not go tomorrow.

I've got a season ticket, but I can't bring myself to afford the time off work and at the same time spend on 110 miles worth of petrol for the round trip.
I can listen to it on t'internet.
Trouble is, I think they'll lose tomorrow so staying here may not be a bad decision BUT my true desire would still be to want to be there.

You don't seem to be reading what people are posting mate.

That question has already been answered.

I'm not the same kind of supporter as you are. (Although the fact that you get in free kind of dilutes your argument.) As I said Messrs Cryne and Shepherd will have calculated the number of fans who'll turn up no matter how bad the product and will have structured their financial plans accordingly.

I wouldn't want to be part of that number.

Like I said, each to his own.

Got past the £100 mark last Friday.

Never came out of Blah mind so I reckon that might have had something to do with it.

    And the £15 on taxis.

They could put the prices up for me......

......if they have anything to do with keeping it how it is.

    I agree

The biggest reason I did not buy a season ticket this year was that it seemed the club was 'expecting' 'true fans' to renew. Regardless of who they appointed as manager, signings they made etc. Don't get me wrong I don't expect a pat on the back from them, but I do not want my money being taken for granted.

    Is that wrong?

    It's the point of football!!

But, that's "Value for Money" (rather than a pure cost)

Watching good football and a winning team is perceived as being worth £30. Watching a dour losing is team is (frankly) as waste of cash to someone who has a limited disposable income.

I have to say that I have enjoyed the games I have seen this season. As Journo rightly points out, 10 points from 15 is not that bad.

Even the Doncaster game was eventful!

    RE: Results!!

It shows how fickle Barnsley fans are, we lose for first time since Febuary at home and they decide not to go to next one...

You expect us to win? Every match? Really?

    Or do you mean hoping?

    Expect/hope

that's the aim of a game of football

To say that just because we are BARNSLEY that we shoudl not expect/hope to win is daft

That's how your post sounded to me

    Might have mis-read it..

Would that be the last three HOME performances?

I'm genuinely interested to know if people base their decisions on the results of the away games?

I'm assuming here that the majority of supporters do not attend away games. I would put myself in that group.

    RE: Expect/hope

I think expecting and hoping are very different. I expect to see 90 minutes entertainment, a team that tries 100% and to have half time pies that don't give me the shits. Then at the end of it all I desperately hope that Barnsley win, but its not akways going to happen. We aren't Chelsea/Man U etc.

because for the last 10 years

I've had Reiter's syndrome and various systemic symptoms resulting from that including spondylosis. I've had major surgey twice, a few minor operations and various invasive procedures. I've spent a total of almost a year in hopsital in this time and come very close to dying. I battled through this, completed my degree and got a job in TV, but 4 years ago it eventually got the better of me and I haven't worked since.

Or according to Leeds Tyke, I'm a lazy unemployed Barsteward.

Windy ? are you a season ticket holder ?

If not then I can see where you are coming from because it's additional cash.

If you are then surely when you signed up you knew that you were probably letting yourself in for 9 mths of tedium.

Also you may miss the entertaining game, like Udders at home last season.

Also a hundred different things ?

If it's 100 different women, then that's one thing.

Now,if you know of 100 things to do with one woman, that's a different matter !!![IMG]
