He's gone, we move on. I just hope we take our time choosing the right replacement, even though I know we don't have time.

I feel let down by the so called Barnsley fan . He has stabbed us in the back, not only by him leaving but taking all the backroom staff with him . His true colours are shining through . The club who gave him his first chance in coaching have been truly abandoned by him. Yes I'm a little bit pissed off .

Disappointed where he's gone, and how it's happened days after signing a new deal, but I'm not overly bothered. If it wasn't for his connection to the club, then his job would've probably been under pressure, more so than what it was.

The only worry for me, is who we choose to replace him. I hope we don't become like most foreign owned clubs, ironically, like Leeds, and continue to get rid of our manager at least once a season.

Can we have an Option 3 - meh? Shame his ties have been cut, and a pisser it's to those lovely people in particular, but let's face it, he was on the brink anyrode. 12 great months playing 4-4-2 with some great players who were perfectly suited to it, then a second 12 that were desperately poor. Accepted he had the squad ripped apart before his eyes, which wasn't his doing, but there have been some bizarre team selections/formations/substitutions in recent weeks which definitely were. I wish him and his family health, wealth and happiness, but I hope dirty Leeds completely tank.

I voted "upset", but I think having got used to it, I'm more "ambivalent".

If I were Hecky I would probably have done the same, he was on a relatively poor wage at Barnsley but he'll be a millionaire this time next year when he gets the inevitable sack. He was on course for the sack at Barnsley so he had nothing much to lose. At least he's secured his financial future.

He'll always be a hero for what he did last year and the year before, and he's one of our own. Good luck to him, he'll need it.....

I'm on the fence. Upset for sentimental reasons but optimistic about a fresh start.

I voted glad and to be honest I'm glad for Hecky as well the local lad tag was a millstone around the neck of not only him but ours as supporters too it blinded some with romanticism it's the very reason Mick McCarthy will never take the job on an absolute hiding to nothing
The owners I'm sure feel far better it's happened this way too they and us need a buffer between a romanticised idea and footballing reality

Upset. I don't understand how he could suddenly decide to manage Leeds, especially after everything he's said about them in the past.

Don't blame him for going but his choice of club is a very bitter pill to swallow. Still gutted he's gone.

Disappointed, and on a more fundamental level worried that despite our new ownership, we were unable to tempt Hecky to stay. Despite the fact that he's no less of a fan than any of us, and that Leeds is an absolute air biscuit of a job. A well-paid air biscuit, but an air biscuit all the same. From an immediate footballing perspective, I'm somewhat less bothered, as he quickly seemed to be running out of ideas. That doesn't mean that I wanted him gone, and I still thought he was the right man for the job long term, even if we'd got relegated. So I'm currently feeling disappointed, plus a bit anxious. If there's an upturn in form and we manage to stay up without him - great. Maybe it will all turn out to have been for the best. However, if we end up being relegated, and he comes back in the summer to sign Pinnock and Lindsay, it's fair to say that I'll be ******* fuming.

Another 'neither' & so no vote from me.
Still looking forward to seeing Knas & McB help rip Wednesdays apart on Saturday but with a different PH in charge. COYR!
Was 100% behind the team with Hecky in charge, but he's an irrelevance now so have no feelings either way.

Ì think if he had stoped we were as good as down may be a blessing in disguise I'm pleased he's taking his back room staff, let's have a full set of new people in.
