stats like that show nothing really, except he will be built up like nardiello from now on.

Nothing 'proves' anything, but I've seen Knight and he's a good player... surely better value at 125k at his age than Windass at over 100k?

windass played the majority of his early career as a midfielder did he not?

oh don't get me wrong...

...i would have like leon knight also.

however i really don't think he's what were looking for, which is a bruser, a leader and a goalscorer.

yes he's one of them but not all three.

windass is in my opinion

 

very tough decision..

I'd go for no - i think £150k which must be roughly what it would take is too much for a player for who we will only get one and a bit seasons worth from. he would have been the ideal man a year ago but there a big difference in a couple of years at his age. he would be a great character to have around for some of the younger players but in todays marker i just don't think he can justify £150k. I'd obviously eat my words if his goals took us up but that's a big if. I think we would do better signing someone like Wetherall from Bradford instead as the defence is still weak in my opinion.

I would have taken the £100k if I was Julian Rhodes.

just not sure he is the right option....but if he scored the goals this season that got us up....
