unadultered guff. Pietersons average in his last 10 tests was 37. he hasnt played well let alone scored runs consistently for 2 years. lets listen to a bunch of aussies while they wet themselves stupid over it. the past has been. he has made himself unpickable, this is not anyone elses fault but his own. Its a shame as he is the best batsman ever to play for England, he is also the biggest ar*ehole too.
I'd hazard a guess that the 37 average was probably the highest by any England batsman. Wasn't he also top scorer in the Ashes series despite all the flack thrown his way?
Those last 10 test were the last two ashes series. I'd hazard a guess that his average over those 10 tests was higher than all other batsmen in those 2 series with maybe the exception of Bell. It would certainly be higher than Cooks. As has been stated he was our highest runscorer in that debacle in Australia, if you were going to drop him for being out of form then the rest of the team should have been dropped aswell.
