I get that I saw ‘the gentlemen’s game’ as well lol Football probably needed that to make it as popular, develop the stadia etc. My point is more that clubs that are historically third tier regulars might be in difficulty and need a helping hand in better day to day running. Surely striving for improvement is classed as ambition? They didn’t need to be elevated to the Prem, they wouldn’t have got there without money, and so shouldn’t be afforded so much sympathy now it’s all gone belly up. People call MK Dons, but Wigan, Brentford and Reading aren’t a lot different if you look at them pre and after money. They may as well be a different club entirely,
