Why are you looking at Luton's goal difference? Becomes irrelevant now as we're on the same points. We won't overturn that if we both win, but if we win and they draw/lose then we're champions.

I wish I could be less of a pessimistic person. I do far too much thinking through of consequences in all aspects of my life. The mate I went with on Saturday was super confident all day until the last 5 minutes and even then I think it was me who finally gave him the jitters.

It isn't completely irrelevant, but still very unlikely. If we both win or both lose there could theoretically be 4 goals difference in our results i.e. Luton win 1-0 and Barnsley win 5-0, or Luton lose 5-0 and Barnsley lose 1-0.

Not sure why I wrote the bit about Luton losing - slight brainstorm but its not completely irrelevant. It is unlikely but if Luton win 1-0 and we win 6-0 we are champions, realistically though we need Luton to lose or draw

Reply to both you and @pontyender at the same time. I know it isn't completely irrelevant but it's highly, highly unlikely. Even with a four goal swing that wouldn't be enough as Luton have scored more goals than us, so it's five goals (as you pointed out but Pontyender might have missed)

I'll just be happy if we beat Bristol Rovers.

Oxford United are one of the form teams at the moment and I could see them getting a draw at Luton, but we can't count chickens.

They are a better home side than away, but a draw is the likeliest result on their travels. They are the 8th best home side and 18th best away side in the division. However 11 of their 22 away games have ended in a draw.

he's probably fuming from an hiding v's a relegation threatened team, but those comments from a football club owner do stink, he's got no class.
a regular fan can post that but not him, he should be reading the riot act within the club and telling his players to go all out tomorrow, not publicly shaming them,
donny still have a tough last game so you never know

Have I worked it out wrong? Pboro win their last 2 games and Donny only get a draw, at best, against an in form Coventry and Pboro are in playoffs. Seems crazy an owner would be chucking towel in at that. As a fan or one of his players I'd be more than a bit miffed. Or is this some sort of pseudo reverse psycho mindgames ******.

the small matter of peterboro winning away at pompey then at home to a decent burton side, but yes, doable
i'd certainly be pissed off if our owner threw in the towel if in same position, walsall battered them at the weekend, but we had a lucky win there other month
don't really give a monkeys about them so guessing we are all just eager for them to turn up tomorrow to maybe make saturday less stressful ;-)

We CAN count chickens and always should if we are to ensure supply meets demand and provides an optimum price for the consumer. Strewth!

Decided against buying it, ill only jinx the result. (or I'm a tight so n so)

With the Tottenham game on too id imagine that there wont be any live coverage from radio stations.

Looks like ill be having my heart fall out my arse every 5 minutes when sky bet decide to suspend betting on a pompey attack all the time.
