But we have to accept where we are. We’ve lost 10 out of 11 before today, and barely had any goal threat all season. Peterborough’s home form vs our away form would generally point to a home win, at least we’ve avoided that. We’re 8 points adrift, but that’s not Asbaghi’s fault. He’s got to try and find a pulse in this team, which has been virtually killed off by an inept board and an inept previous head coach. You’d hope to see more signs of life next weekend and following games. Sadly, I think we’re beyond repair. Once the club gave the players a week off after the Hull defeat, it was like they’d given up as well and may as well have given laumann the job.
I would love to know what the passing accuracy rate is for each of our players. does anyone have access to that data - or know where I can get it? playerstats.com seems to do it, but it's a paid sub
There's nothing wrong with most of these players, they're virtually the same team who performed brilliantly last season. Poor form, poor manager in the first part of the season, sure but they're clearly more able than the position they're in.
I'm not sure anymore simple passes put out of play or gave to the opposition its like there impersonating footballers
I hope there is more signs of life next weekend, anyway I am offski it aint a good time to be on here and the way I am feeling shutters darn is probs the best thing. Toodle pip.
Aside from the Derby win that's our only other point in the other 11 games. Yes it's only Peterborough, and by all accounts they're poor (although Fulham only put 1 goal past them at home), but it's better than another loss. It's stopped the rot.
Confidence is a funny thing. If nothing else sit them all down and play a 'best of' highlights package from last year, just to remind them. A job for the media team?
I know our points tally was way better last season, but I can’t remember us ever passing teams off the park, or even consistently passing to one another. I know this goes against the grain and I know the game’s about winning, but in a football sense, I thought we were crap last season, but we were crap with a system. This season we’re just crap.
Loss of confidence has a huge impact especially for such young players. We were marginally better today and at least we didn’t lose. Morris played well, the others did okay, including Woodrow.
Where are goals going to come from with this guy in charge. Far too negative. We needed three points today. He should have been braver. Opportunity missed.
I remember when I I thought Helik would be better than Arjan de Zeuw, Styles would play for England, woodrow would be poached by a bigger club and Britain and palmer would play in the premiership. Happy days
We seem to have completely abandoned the basics, the fundamental building block of football. Pass and move. Pass the ball to a man in space, then find some space of your own to give them options. Pass and move. It's not fu¢king rocket science.
