Charles is a good bet to leave Bolton this window. He has been left out of their starting eleven a lot recently and, as he was a key regular last season, he must have given Evatt the impression that he wants away. He will have a good number of suitors in the Championship, being an Irish international and you could see the Hollywood brigade wanting him in League One as well. I don't see us being able to compete with other clubs financially for him, BUT he is IMHO the type of striker we need - pacy, but muscular and able to hold the ball up and score a few goals as well. Are there any others like him in Leagues One, or Two? I am not sure.

If you can find the youtube clip, have a look at Andre Gray's two goals for Plymouth home to Watford. Pretty impressive. I wonder why they have released him. Maybe it was Rooney that he was following.

Exactly what we need and would be a real statement signing but like you say, doubt we'd be able to compete with the other top sides wages wise
