    That's a really good optimistic post. There were indeed some dark times 50 odd years ago. However, in perspective and at the moment, we are in a big slump and its not showing any signs of getting better just now. Close season may provide a boost and help us turn the corner but we're in a bad way at the moment and something needs doing fairly quick if we dont want to go back to the late 60's/early 70's.

    I started watching them back in 1968. So I share your highs and lows. Disappointing last few years but renewed for next season as my wife says"Well else would you do on Saturdays? " Once a red always a red!
