For me, that's our best 90 minutes+ this season. We were up against a team who could've gone top with a victory and gave as good as we got. Barnsley played some lovely football at times and at others we stood strong against some intense Stoke attacks. A brilliant goal from our skipper, who I thought was superb. But Collins was truly an outstanding MOTM. There was the fight we all wanted to see all over the pitch, which was also matched by our coaching staff at the end! .
The predictions of a mauling by some tonight was way off the mark.
Well done, Brad. A superb game from you topped off the penalty save. A penalty that never was.

 

Good point but I can't ignore the fact that they could have had 6 and Collins will walk the MOTM poll

We were dog **** but got a point. Take it and move on but we ned to start seeing a lot more. Defensively we just look abysmal and back to the barnsley sides of old!

 

My point was that we're well aware of his limitations, so hooking Iseka at half-time if uninjured looks odd at that point.

An injury would make more sense, but there wasn't any obvious sign of one.

 

It (the scrap) really does remind me of little kids when they get angry and haven't managed to master their emotions yet. It's not even really that though because they never throw punches or do any real fighting, so they're obviously not that 'passionate', it's always just pushing and posturing like teenagers trying to look hard in front of their mates. I'd expect other teenagers to fall for it and get excited about it but not men above the age of 20 or so, especially when they're not even there in person.

 

Can’t see how some fans are happy with that? Let’s be fair, Stoke we’re pretty much all over us all game. If Collins had not had his Weetabix this morning we’d have shipped 5 or 6 tonight easily.

Yeah, I can definitely understand that because it can give you an advantage but everyone watching the 'fight' knows it's only going to be a bit of pushing and a show of 'hold me back' so I'm not sure where the excitement comes from in that.

 

I think we lacked a physical presence up front and it was certainly an option I'd have thought about. I might have taken Frieser off rather than Iseka, but he's perhaps not yet match fit.

 

Morrison needs to come and see me and I'll show him a punch. The Tarn coaches gave him a clip for being in our technical area.
